People on the Nation are very very stupid and gullible, and he realistically doesn't expect that much money.

Those things do go for insanely higher amounts of $$$ then they should though. I think it might be because the company Sandana only made a very limited run of Camo headwraps, and now they're a collectors thing.

Thats all I know/guess

Ok, I tried to look around and find out what it was, but I couldn't.
It just blows my mind how they can be worth even close to that much.

This is all that is true about any economy: There are always dumb rich people, who you can take advantage of.

And this guy is prolly gonna do just that :D

an original sandana man **** thats worth money, maybe not that much but people go crazy over the originals. Sandana tried a release not too long ago of new sandanas but i cant remember if they sold very good or not. They are just considered 'agg'. Back in what, the mid 90's is when they were big?

Agg is a very *** system of measuring how cool one is in the speedball community. I believe it is dead now... at least I hope

Be very very glad you don't know what it is, I lost brain cells over that on PbNation....

Any one know who started it?

HK army, otherwise known as Hostile kids, started their own 'army' (what they called their fan club). Bassically they were extremely dedicated fans and they are the ones you have to thank for the current paintball fashion. They started a movement in paintball that reached off the field and became an attitude. They used white athletic tape, had HK stickers, and the fact that Hybrid started producing products that fit their attitude didnt help things. Eventually the 'army' got too big and there was a lot of wanna-bes and posers and they got a very negative rep. The core guys of HK arnt say bad, but many of there 'army' member lack a certain social politeness and integrity.

they even created their own lingo, agg meant cool.

Yeah, that is an original diamond mesh tree trunk. The are worth a lot of $, usually go for around $300, I'd be suprised to see them go for $600 or $700.
I paid $25 for my tree trunk sandana and after a couple dozen trips to the washer and dryer I bet you couldn't tell the difference unless you looked really close.
The whole sandana thing is kinda like the flex part thing, it means something to a certain group and to the rest of the pb community it makes no sense.

Agreed. You can get some deals through PBN.

but come on. I'm going to start cutting up some freaking camo shirts and sewing them up. Freaking $300 for one of those is still just plan dumb. If someone came up to me and started bragging about their $300 peice of cloth on their head I would laugh right in their face. Thats like 6 cases of paint, a couple phantoms, or in my case well over 3 motorcycles!. Not worth one sandana.

your absolutely right but it is a good deal.... if you are the one selling it.... I would guess the old ones can be found here locally from the older players that would gladly sell one of theri old rags for $50.... you turn around and let it go on the nation for $250 (a steal in their eyes) and you make out like a bandit.... its a good thing to have agg'd out kids on the nation spending their parents money on stuff like that... you just need to be on the right end...

Least he could do is toss in the free crack pipe as you obviously have quite a habbit if you pay $700 for a headwrap.

evolkers2003

many people could also argue spending $1200 for a paintball gun when you can get a gun with close performance for $200 is a waste of money and say that us who spend this money are on crack. Hell, most people in this world think any one who plays paintball seriously says were on crack for wasting that much money. Its their hobby, its what they want and good for any one that can take advantage of that. Obviously, any one who drops that kind of cash on a headband has money, and if $700 is a small amount of money to them then i congradulate them on their success, but im not going to bash them for getting what they want.

You have to admit though, they are the best looking headband around. Id buy it if it was like $680 cheaper.

lol yea they look nice but really they don't look any nicer than anyothers. Its not like they are actually different like an expensive marker vs cheaper one. But yea If they were $20 I wouldn't complain.

I don't know. Personally I would just feel guilty paying $600 for a piece of cloth, when that much money would feed a family for a lifetime in Somalia or something like that.

I guess its all in the eyes of the person buying it, just look at how much people pay for baseball or football cards all they are is a picture printed on cardboard. or comic books they dont have any value to me but others will pay millions for them.
