Halo Is the most intense and highly competitive scenario paintball events held in the WI MN area.
Right now we already have three teams filled out of the six for this event. Wild Bunch won the Tournament by 15 min last year and gained the free entry in the event for 09 as well as the ability to defend the traveling trophy. If you are not part of a team but would like to play in this event I would post that here as a team that is short a player or two may want to pick you up on there team.

This will be out 4th time doing the Halo
scenario. So many people had a blast that
we have chosen to do it again this year.
We will be holding this event at our Junk
Yard course and will increase the playing
field from last year to include a new fort
This Scenario is based off of the Video
Game It is a version of the Team Capture
the Flag. This Scenario will be played at
the junk yard. There will be 18 re-spawn
points. Each person will have a re-spawn
card that will tell them what re spawn point
they must go to if they have been
eliminated. There will be 6 teams and 1
flag. When a team has possession of the
flag time gets added to total time of Flag
possession. At the end the team that has
held the flag for the longest time frame
threw out the day wins.
If you have more then ten players with that intend to rotate out it is
$30 Registration Per aditional Player and includes
Bring your own paint at no extra cost
Includes Air
The team Has to be Registered first and that is $300 and that covers 10 players Registration, Option to bring there own paint and Air Fills
Aditional players do not have to Register till the day off and you can have any number of extra players Registered to rotate out. THERE CAN ONLY BE 10 ON THE FIELD AT ONCE THOUGH.
This event you can only register on this site or direct with
Combat Paintball. All you need to do is register a ten man
team in advance, individuals added to that roster can be
done on that day for the same price as the advanced
registration as of Jan 1st '09 we have three of the six teams
already registered leaving open four teams at this time
Register Now
This event is limited to 6 Teams with 10 players per team on the field at a time ONLY!
This event is limited to 60 players on the field at one time that is
10 Per team. There are only 60 players that can preregister.
After that anyone can still sign up as a walk on, but must be part
of one of the preregistered teams. And can go on the field when
one of the players on their team comes off the field. (There can
only be 10 players for each team on the field at one time). Each
team can have as many players, helpers, etc… In the staging
area to help reload pods, fill air etc. But for some one to be able
to go onto the field they must be a registered player.
There will be a traveling trophy that will be given to the winning
team and their team will be listed on the trophy. Also the winning
team will get free entry into the next years halo scenario for the
10 players that preregistered. Next year the only players that will
be given spots in this event will be the teams that took 1st, 2nd,
and 3rd. The other three team spots will have to be earned on a
pre qualification date.
In 2008 Wild Bunch fought hard and won the event by fifteen
min. Right behind them was a Fierce Allegiance and another
Wild Bunch team. Wild Bunch has stated they will be back to
defend there title and trophy. Fierce Allegiance says they will be
back with an even better stronger team for '09.

This is a fun event, the team I was on took 4th outta 4 last year:p That's pretty much because I was on the walk on team of all of the random people who came, compared to the other three teams being ACTUAL teams.
I think having a team of 10 preregisterd will work a lot better in terms of making the teams more even (aka there won't be a team of random walk ons like last year).
Power is gonna try to round up 10 guys this year and do a little better than having a couple guys on a walk on team.:D

I step away for one year and another team takes the trophy... Disappointing. lol
Cant wait to take you all on! Should be a really fun event. Cant wait to go up against some of you guys. Lets see if wild bunch can hold on and make it two in a row or if another team gets it!

My post from last years Halo. I was reading threw it and just thought it was easier to copy and past then to rewrite the highlights.
I had to stop on here and post on this event.
I would like to start off and Say OMG I could talk about this event for hours. There were so many awesome moments, hell practicly the whole day was one awesome moment after the other. Weather it be my self making an good move and shooting some guys out, getting the flag. Or some one on one of the other teams making and awesome move and shooting me out. I got shot 29 times I dont even know the last time I have been shot that many times. Or if there ever has been a time. I wish I knew how many times I got other players out. Not like it maters I shot a lot of guys but would be cool to know. Not only was there a lot of good plays and moves. But one of the things that will make this one of my favorite Games to play to date was the players. I felt like I was playing with a whole bunch of guys that I have been friends with for years and we were all having a good time. I am very competitive. But it seemed that every one had fun as a priority as well. There were a lot of Nice shots, Good move, players checking them selves and calling them selves out when they were hit. Players following the rules and helping each other out with questions. Or if they needed some thing.
It got off to a slow start with a lot of players slow to get out to the field. Must have been a big party some were sat night I did not know about. LOL
When every one did get out onto the field it took a bit for some of the teams to learn the field and learn how to work togeather as some of them had not played togeather before. It was cool to watch them as the figured things out and to listen to every one as they game planned and worked on stratagy.
I was impressed how wild bunch. Started out. They got the flag quickly. and had set up zones players had there areas to cover and respon points making it harder for players to respon and get any were with out getting eliminated quickly. It seemed as though they tried to cover the whole filed though and ended up to spread out.
I think some were they realized that and pulled in a little to cover zones in the pines and ridge area and that worked out quite well for you guys. It took some really good moves and some team work to get the flag back.
By the last round the yellow team had started to work much better as a team. With there being a truce between yellow and Orange team in the last round it was crazy to run around the field and see that they picked up on how you guys were controoling zones and tasking out hunter killer teams (as you will) to stop threats. It was easier to do so with a lot more guys out there. None the less the Red and Green teams (Wild bunch teams) Put up quite the fight.
In the end The Green team Won the event with having the flag for a total of 95 min. The Red team and Orange team Tied with 80 min for second place. Personaly the times dont mean much to me. The bigest thing to me was that I did not see any one out there not putting 110 percent into the game. They played with Heart, for the love of the game, and Every one had a blast because of it.
Also I finaly got to see Wild bunch play as a larger team. They got the traveling Halo Trophie and they earned it. They are the best team I have seen in the Midwest. They plan on being out again next year to defend it. I intend on building and putting togeather a team that will make them work for it again.
If any other teams out there think they can face such a challange then I ask you one thing "Bring IT"
and see you out there next year.
I am looking forward to playing againced Wild Bunch this next year in Halo They are a great Group of Guys.
Thanks for comming!!!!

Tomorrow I will be opening up registration for a walk on team. This is a team of individuals or small groups that could not come up with enough players for a full ten man team them selves but would like to play in this event.

Law's. The only way Laws can be used is if it is able to be used by all players. Law would be placed out on the field. What ever team finds it or gets it has it till the person carrying it is eliminated. The Law is left at the feet of were the player was eliminated for any one to use. There will be a rocket ref 1. to call out Rocket hits, 2. Retrieve Rockets (Two rockets are left with the Rocket When the Player that shoots the Rocket is eliminated the Rocket Ref will Retrieve Rockets, untill then it is the player shooting the rockets responsibility to retrieve Rockets if he wants to be able to shoot it again during that life.). 3. Help Prevent damage to the Rocket and answer questions if some one does not know how to use it.
When The Rocket has passed threw Three different players hands when it leaves the third players hands it is placed back on the field were it was placed for the start of the game.
Teams will be told were these special weapons are during the bried at 9:30
Mounted Machine Gun:
There will also be a mounted Machine Gun for this event. This is the same Machine Gun that was used at Omaha Beach.
Machine Gun Can not be moved. It will start with 500 paintballs in it. if a player wants to use the machine gun and it is out of paint it cost $10 to put a bag of 500 paintballs in the Gun. There is a Machine gun Ref at the machine gun you give him $10 he puts in 500 paintballs If you are eliminated and you only shot 5 balls from there it is left in the machine gun for who ever comes to use it next so you may want to have some one from your team ready to jump in there and take over...
Paint in the Machine Gun is only paint bought from the machine gun Ref and placed in the gun by the Machine Gun Ref only.

Woodland Security would love to come if it wasn't on Fathers day. Most of my guys can't play that day.Is there a team size requirement? I could convince 6 or 7 to come. For me, I'm going down to Iowa to support my Mom. this is going to be the hardest Fathers day Ever. (If you posted the size requirements just tell me agian,I had no time this morning to read everything above). Thanks Joel
and Guys,,,,Make sure you tell you dads you love them on Fathers Day. You never know when it will be the last one you can spend with him.

No there is not a team size requirement. If you guys need a few players I have some players that are from other teams or individuals that want to play that could help fill out the rest of your team. If you want to stay with having 6-7 players you can but it would be Highly Benificial to have 10.

Brief 9:30 Play starts at Ten am. Done at Six p.m.
Your team does not have to have all ten players on the field the whole time... If your team had more then ten players only ten can be on the field at a time.
The whole team does not have to be there the whole time. If some one comes later or leaves earlier it is fine. Team is responsible for passing on information from Breif if some one misses it.

Sorry to say the Sentinels will likely miss the game. :(
I'm stuck "on call" at work (which means I'm the emergency off hours guy for the week, code for "you can't do anything without your computer and internet nearby") that weekend, and most of us are rebuilding our spare funds after the GBG/OK D-Day combination.

WOW! Awesome, I had such a blast today. Great competition. Very Challenging!!!! Love it!!! Whew my body is feeling it after this weekend. Played all day in the heat Saturday then Halo toped it off. What a weekend!!
Wild Bunch owned the field for most of the day. They did all the things that makes a team great. Good communication.. Great job working together and using good stategy. It is expecially nice to be playing against a lot of good experienced players. Beats shooting newbs all day any body can do that!
I have talked to Wild Bunch and we may be doing this event again. Not on a fathers day and hopefully not a rainy day. This will only be done if we both have a min of four teams Registered as well as Wild Bunch able to make it to defend the Trophy!
The Trophy Will have a Piece on the Plaque that has Wild bunch on the year they won on it two years in a row now!
If some one were to be able to take it from Wild Bunch there would be to pieces for this year. One with your name and 2009 as well.... Could some one really take it from Wild Bunch....?
If so what dates would work good for every one?

It was fun, but we needed more teams. Having only 2 teams kinda defeated the purpose of the whole Halo thing.:p
Maybe if it wasn't father's day there would have been a better turn out.
