Just to confirm -- this is Saturday the 21st?
It was earlier reported it'd be Sunday the 22nd.
Just making sure I have the information right to relay to the guys.
I've been itching to get back into the woods for a while now, and I can't make the March 1st Splat Tag game.

were gonna have to see what the temp is too, if its cold running 12 grams might not be the best idea.
Is there gonna be chronographs too? I need to do some work on a couple guns as a matter of fact and need a chrono.

I just take one of the asa's and macro lines off of one of my other guns and run HP on my phantom in the winter.
if a chrono is needed for this game let me know and I can bring mine.

I've got a handheld radarchron, and one of those ProChrono Paintball (http://www.competitionelectronics.com/pages/Prochrono_Paintball.html) ones I can bring.
I may have to rig up an LED source for the ProChrono... it doesn't work worth a darn if it's cloudy. And it's always cloudy in March.

since when did i say you? Johnson and tanner are going down and they are on the team i coach, hence making them 'my guys'. I own them. I have johnson chained up in my backyard and tanner sleeps in the leaky basemant. I have them do small chores and around the house when i need it otherwise i poke them with a stick until they stop complaining. It amuses me.

I was always an evil man until Jared at Combat said he was going get a batch of draxxus and i was like, "Oh great, its prolly going to suck." First game i was shooting hellfire and it was amazing, i was skimming air bunkers and it was breaking but i never chopped one in my gun. Even blaze is a great paint at a great value and i cant say anything bad about any of their paint i have ever shot.

yet another reason anyone planning on coming to the Frostbuster should get their order in today. I mean really, how often do you get to order paint and have it delivered to you, fresh?
This is to help players plan your trip. The field is just a little South of town. I went two years ago and had a great time!!! May try to make this game again.

Good paint is worth it for certain, the best is that middle ground between **** and highend. Mid-Grade generally works for me, and doesn't hit the pocketbook to hard.

Yes, yes I am. I got a bag of leftovers last year and it's pretty much the only thing I shoot now. Big games I use blaze, just cuz it's a little too spendy to go through a case, case and a half of Gold in a day.

It's quite a haul to get down there, we're leaving by 6am, hopefully hit Mt Lake a little after 9am. I need to talk to the guys this week and see if maybe we can leave by 5:30. I am trying to get there are early as possible, but it might be a little rushed just because of the distance.
Obviously once we get there we will be setting up the air and getting paint out ASAP.
For anyone who is curious, the Frostbite is orange with a nice bright orange fill. At room temp the stuff is pretty tough, so I think it will work out well in the 50 degree weather.
I am so excited to play!!

just how bad do you think the road is gonna be? seeing how its gonna be almost a 2 hour drive I was thinking about driving the subaru it will handle the mud no problem with AWD and snow tires but the clearance could be a problem if there are a lot of deep ruts and such.
were you still planing on running some scenario type missions? if so do you need props or anything?

The road conditions weren't too bad the other day when we went out there. I was driving my Olds Alero and made it just about all the was up there but stop short due to a small hard snow drift. As far as I know, I don't think there should be any problem getting vehicles in or out. I am hoping to swing up there this Thursday or Friday and will get a better look at the road condition right before the game.
I also have pictures of the field that are from this last Thursday that I will try to get posted up here tonight.

That snow should be gone by now... We got that snow like two days before the pictures were taken and it was only 1-2 inches... With the weather we have had I doubt there will be any snow out there. Maybe a small drift or two at most.
There is no fee and it is open to everyone. You do not need to be part of a team to participate in this event.
It is a winter game.
No fee to play and no fee to BYOP.
$5 all day air.
It is open to all upstanding players.
Pictures from when I play it back in 2007 I think. Great time.

Well I was hoping Team Power would have a better showing at the Frostbuster, but it looks like only two of us will be going. Apparently only the old folks on our team will commitold:)
Old being 20 and 21

we'll be glad to have any and all comers. looking forward to a large crowd.
Also, one thing I haven't mentioned yet, but we will be having the gauntlet challenge. It will be a 1 on 1 challenge. If there's someone you want to challenge, you have to call them out in front of everyone and thrrow down the challenge. it will be a reffed, limited paint 10 minute max game. no real personal grudges allowed, just good old fashioned I am better than you ego-bruising, got your *** handed to you paintball. trash talking before the event allowed, after the game is over shake hands and be better friends.

Went out to the field this morning, there was a few small piles of snow left but otherwise the ground is just a little moist.
So here is what you should know, make sure you have good ankle support, the only fairly easy place to get up the hill will be the path on the front side with the stairs, everywhere else is fairly steep and with the wet ground it could pose a challenge to get up other places.
If you like to keep your vehicle clean, you may want either something to cover your seats because more then likely you will end up muddy. It should be a beautiful day for paintball so come prepared to have some fun and we will see you out there tomorrow.

Had a great time at the game, fantastic way to start 2009. I haven't gotten to play with the WCH since D-Day last June and it was great to do it again.

Next year. Frostbuster is an annual event.
Now that said, Matt and the WCH host other games out there, they're just not as big as the Frostbuster annual game. Shoot him a PM for information on dates/times.
