How 2 clean paintballs

I play at Air Assault sometimes and often pick up paint off the the ground. Bad idea I know. i was wondering if ppl had any ideas how 2 clean off paintballs well with out consumeing alot of time.

Im talking full shell bits and soaked in oil,

ya i would but the jersey is also filled with paint.

ill was it then take a shot at it.

i have tryed heating them and the shell comes off easyer. then cool after.

Very bad idea. Just use a towel. /thread.

on feild in a bunker thats what you do. off feild i usually just use a bunch of paper towls and roll them dry

thatnks 4 the advice. i have already cleand 4 pods worth so its saved me $20.

Dont think it will shoot great but i dont care. easy way 2 save money.

ya basicly just rub them off is all u can do. just make sure they arnt old ones

I get a warm, moist towel (not wet, just moist) and rub em quick through that, then pour em into a big, dry towel and shake em around gently, then dry em off. I collect paint from splat tag alot haha.

ive decided just to play pump at AA if i can help it. all the speedballers only fill half a pod and dup the rest of it on the floor so i shoot it.:D

its all good as long as you have to cock it each time.:cool:

Craigs list is another good place or ask someone here if they have an extra.

SCP also has a few for cheap, give them a call.


Also, a "Good" gun is only as good as the player ;)

Right on man, i'm going 68 Carbine this year, all the way.

You can also get some micro fiber towels at Napa or Murrays and try to dry paintballs off with those, the micros are also awesome to have for wiping your mask, no water needed.

If I drop a pod on the field I just walk off. a few minutes later I see a kid on his knees picking up the balls I droped and putting them in his hopper. he wonders why his marker isn't working right later. I have been out of paint and done this also but I pay for it later. Just my 2 cents

The real nasty, dirty balls won't go in my hopper. Though I look at it as a 10 second rule with them. As long as they didn't fall in something wet, or greasy, and there's not much dirty/debris sticking to them, a few will be picked back up and used. It just motivates me to really clean my markers good after a day of paintball lol. If dropping them in the jersey, or brushing them off a little doesn't work, they won't be used.
