I think adding a review section would be helpful, so that if we don't have a video camera like kylester we can just post a text one for people to see.

Of paintball gear

Maybe also fields and/or events as well. Kind of a "what went well, what needs improvement" type of thing?

The idea certainly can't hurt, sounds kind of interesting, even if we do sort of deal with it under gear discussion already.

Off topic, I've been thinking of getting back into video work once I graduate the U of M and get a new job squared away (had an interview today that went well). The video work could work for paintball gear and/or other types of paintball videos (depending on what people want... definetly going back to the FP-style videos and I'm debating my own version of "mythbusters" focused on paintball myths and realities).

We have a Section for Paintball Gear in the General Forum under Scenario Gear. You can write reviews there, with a new thread as to what your reviewing. People will see it there. As for Fields/Events a review in that Forum would also fly. Will that work for you? Or are you saying you want just a review forum, all by itself./AKA

It makes it alot easier to read reviews if they are in thier own section though, I like the idea. :D

I've been to pb review, and a lot of the reviews are inaccurate. Hearing it from people we know would be better.

The ruling's the ruling. Best idea would be to ask people you know who have it what they think.

Also, if you know what you're doing, pbreview isn't that bad. It's pretty easy to find the "middle of the road" among the reviews. What complaints come up more than once? What problems do they seem to have? Is the rating unusually high or low? Etc.

hmmm......

I wanted to write a review on this review section thread. But over at pbreview, I couldn't find a place to review a review section thread. So when I tried to write a review on how I couldn't write a review in THAT review section about this and other review sections, I just decided to sit and reflect. haha

pbreview isn't all bad. Like Thalion said, just take what's said with a grain of salt and when it's all said and done, the BEST way to decipher gear, is hands on.
