I was playing the other day using my T8 and was having so much fun taking people out with one shot then disappearing back into the pines only to flank around and take another player out. I loved the thrill of knowing I only had 8 shots before I had to reload, the speed and mobility of not having all the extra gear I carry when I use the Mini or Tac-One. The only part I don't like is the lack of accuracy and longer distances. I got to thinking I could get a pump and have all the same thrills of using the T8 plus the distance. Here is the question I keep getting stuck on, what one do I get? I see a lot of WPG's and CCI's is one better then the other? whats the difference in the 2?

both guns have there adavntges

autococker pumps-they are easily used with a hopper and co2 or hpa tank, they can be expensive yet cheap like the trilogy you but the trilogy and throw a pump kit on it and your set,

Phantoms-there good becuse there smaller but you have to get a adapter i think to put a hopper on our your useing the 10 round tubes which seems like u like only haveing 10 shots, also u use those small 12 grams they get exspenive after a few years of constant play u can put a co2 tank but then agin i think u need a adapter for it

its all perosnall prefence in what u like i guess

What kind of pump were you thinking of? You have a lot of choices when it comes to pumps too, I see a lot of stock class players out there that absolutely love being sneaky with 10 rounds and 12 grams and other players like using Autocockers with pumps kits. Everyone is different depending on their style of play too, some are quiet and you never see them coming, some run and gun, others like long balling. I personally enjoy watching players duck in fear while playing with my phantom, I may also have something to do with the fact that I can pump out 6 well placed shots p/s with my Ricochet 2K and remote air. I became so used to playing with it that is feels strange when I use one of my other semi-auto guns, the glory of a pump kill feels so much better than catching a player in a spray of balls, Its also more cost effective :D.

Call Brad at SCP in Hudson, he always has some SL68 II's laying around, I tell other players that the SL68 is a perfect low cost way to start enjoying pump play. I also know that one of the Aces High team members recently started using an SL68 and he absolutely loves it.

If you want to seriously get more into pump play, talk to the Damage and Farmland guys, they go out every 3rd sunday of the season to Splat Tag for pump play.

Pump FTW ;)

With Phantom's, if you want to run open class (using a hopper instead of stick feed), you'll most likely need a elbow. Left and right feed Phantom's, you'll need a elbow. Though if you use the little Brass Eagle 50 ball hoppers on a centerfeed Phantom, you can just barely fit it over the neck. So there's no need for an adapter.

Though if you are going to be playing more stock class (where you have to rock forward, or back, then pump), I would suggest a Phantom. However, if you want to play open class, a Sniper would probably be a better choice. Depending on what you want, you can find a lot of Snipers cheaper than a Phantom. Though it will be bigger, and heavier than a Phantom. I prefer Snipers, mostly because Phantom's are just too light in my opinion.

If your looking for a good cheap Open Class (hopper + constant air) you could look into the Maveric. They usually run about $50 or so used. You can also get phatoms with open class bodys with a right/left feed hopper, and constant air.

The sl68 is a great starter marker too. I have used them before, and been thinking of picking one up again.

I just picked up a tracer on ebay for $32, I know I know there old and theres not much you can do with them as far as upgrades but I'll see how I like playing with a pump and maybe upgrade to a phantom later.

Dave right! Find some pumps to try...almost every one of us have a few extra pumps when we come out and are willing to loan them out. Kind of try before you buy. Most players suck a little when they first try pump because they try to play like a semi...play through it and you'll love it.

I'm that member and let me say I love my sl68II. It's light, has an autotrigger, accurate, and very air efficient. But I would play pump once or twice before making the buy. That's what I did, and I loved it! sniper:)

how efficient are they?

At the Halloween big game last sunday, in that really cold weather I got a hopper and three pods off of one 9 oz.
