I need to post forum rules. I need help with this!
I do not want to just copy another forums rules.
Do we need different rules for each forum?
And wear should I post them?
Any go writers out there?

Forum rules should only have to be fairly standard. Most people signing on to a Forum these days have been to a few by now I'm sure, and pretty much know the Drill of what is tolerated in them. As far as following Posting, protocol, such as creating Threads in the appropriate Boards and that replies be strictly notable without being Chit-Chat to a certain point, with no De-meanative remarks unless in a Smiley-Face J/K sort of way. These types of things should be mentioned, with a no questions asked tolerance.
Keep 'em simple, and then with a reminder that we are all here to have a good time, share good times, learn some things, get to know each other better, and then continue our day.

You need some obvious ones like no: swearing, porn, pics of Thalion (personal preference hehe). And some avatar and sig guidelines. And for where to put it in a news area or just make a Rules and regulations forum.

Darrin here is a B/S/T rule.
It is not lifted, but it was written as a result of reading many other forums rules. If nothing else it is a good start, feel free to change it up.
B/S/T Rules
1) Make an actual sales ad, not a link or series of links to another site or forum. If you don’t have the time to write a proper sales ad, don’t expect others to have the time to follow your link, read it, and post back in your thread.
2) State an asking price.
Please be courteous and state a price, or in the event of “trade only” state a trade value. Instead of “make me an offer” use OBO after your asking price.
3) It is highly recommended to post a photo of the actual item for sale, this will help verify condition and avoid scammers.
4) Be truthful when posting your items condition.
By fully disclosing any issues with your sale items you will avoid bad feedback & a poor seller reputation.
5) Do not post in others B/S/T threads to:
- Advertise your B/S/T thread.
- Leave derogatory comments on items, the seller, or the asking price.
Simply put, only post a reply to a For Sale or For Trade thread if you are interested in the goods being sold.
6) No need for over the top messy titles.
IE: “▲▲▲( HaWt GaT L@@K!!!!11!!!▲▲▲”.
A simple “FS: Model 98 w/ up’s” will do just fine.
Use the standard format:
FS = For Sale
FT = For Trade
WTB = Want To Buy
WTT = Want To Trade
7) Be sure to include your preferences for:
- Accepting trades
- Contact (PM, Post, Email, Etc)
- Shipping
- Payment acceptance (Paypal, Money Order, Cash, Etc)
8) Above all, use common sense when paying for or sending items.
Ask for feedback, offer feedback, and take every precaution to ensure a hassle free transaction.
