I have no idea if this has been addressed or not. Is there any way some one could make like a dumb little business card with the this forums address and like a picture of all the sponsors for this and contact info and stuff. Darrin could give them out at the giant game as apart of entry. Thats an easy way to give 500+ players a heads up about this place...
Just me rambling...

MnRAT had some real problems handing out stuff like this (yeah, I still have how-many-hundred of 'em downstairs for a now dead forum). Then again, we didn't ever have a field using them as part of an entry package.

If Darrin gives it the OK and puts them in his entry packages, I think it could work. Sort of like how tankride.com used to have an ad in the GBG package.

Keep in mind, though, how many people carelessly toss stuff like that on the ground and walk away from it. It's bad enough to see clear plastic bags and empty 12 gram cylinders laying around, but now you add discarded business cards. I'm not trying to come across as a neat freak, but paying for something that will most likely end up as scattered litter isn't cost-effective.

I could see Darrin's money better spent as a vinyl sign hung up near registration to get their attention better. Just my opinion... beret:)

Agreed. If we did this he could have some "business cards"/flyers to hand out to those who are interested.

Tim (a.k.a. "AKA") has been handing out MnSPB cards since November.

There's a few places you can get free business cards created.

Make them look like a folded $5 bill, people will be picking them up all day long. :D

That's awesome.

Instead of a business card go with a cool sticker for bumpers, gear boxes, whatever. Then you get to advertise to more people than just the ones you hand the card to, plus people value a sticker (which is functional) than a printed piece of paper.

It would be awesome if you could hand out micro-fiber towels with that info printed on it somehow.

Yes I do advertise this site with business cards, they are of course the picture of the winning Logo from our Logo Contest, and it was Badgers entry that won. I'll try to get a copy of it up here later.
Now about business cards, yea you do not just want to give 'em up to just anybody anywhere, they are to expensive to toss around. What I do is pin one up on a bulliten board where ever I see one, if they want it they'll take it if not it waits til someone does. Or set a few on a Pro-Shops counter or even a department stores where Paintball products are sold.
But the right thing to do is sell the site first to a person, then if he seems interested then slip him the card and say sign up when you can. Stickers on our hoppers with just the site adress would be cool or across the visor of our goggles or something would be Fashionable:cool:, I'm all for whatever it takes, there are plenty of ways to recruit.:D/AKA

I had some made up when I was a Rep. for MnRat. They work pretty good for an "interest finder". I'll strike up a conversation, and if they are interested, I'll had 'em a card. It has gotten us more than a few people to play with on the weekends. They look like this http://photos1.hi5.com/0035/734/735/X2yBkD734735-02.jpg

You can find them at http://www.vistaprint.com If Darrin, dosen't mind, maybe you could put Splat Tag's information on it instead. They really are not that expensive....100 for $3.00. My 2 pennies worth.

Please do not put anything to do with my field on cards promoting this site.

My goal here is to get all scenario based fields using this site and we are having a hard time with that. One reason might be too many posts by me or about my field. Or maybe it's just most field do not know the impacted promoting on this forum can have if done right.

So we need to tell all the other fields to start using this site. Or am I the only scenario field out there

The more the better!

I would like to see the owners of:
Special Forces Paintball post events on here. Many of us have played at his field, including me, and love his events as well.

Adventure Zone has a few events every year. They should post to help get the ward out as well.

I will have a favorite in the players packet for the GIANT BIG GAME and a few banners up.

People can make their own flyer's up and ask to post them at their favorite scenario field or store! Use your home computer. Cards would be great as well.

This site is to help promote all MN area scenario fields and stores, lets get the ward out. help:)

Also if you do hand out cards remember, this forum does keep track of your referrals. So if you hand one out, write on the back your log-in name, so that when the person signs up they can put you as their referral to help you keep track. I'm at seven I think.;) You can see your referrals in your profile./AKA
