I don't Shoot Premium but I herd there good for speedball.
Monster balls are the worst stuff on the market.

Premium works good for me. :D

yeah, dude monster balls suck. they don't last and usually when you buy them they're already dimpled in the box. they don't package them correctly. premium worked out well for me when i used them. they tend to last for a while as long as you keep them dry. Nelson Hot Spots have also been descent for me. For $25-30 a case, I really can't complain. I know evil are some of my favorite but then you're going to be spending some more. also make sure to stay away from the zap paintballs. they have never been good for me. usually when you spend more, you get more.

P.S. My recommendations are all based on my personal experiences. I'm not saying that these paintballs haven't worked for others. They just haven't for me.:)

visible impact is good... i had to give it a try after someone on this forum said something about it and it works just fine for 38 a case.

Better paint always performs better, regardless of the field.

Premium paint will shoot the same either way, airball or woodsball.

Oh man, you must not like the people you play with, those things hurt like the blazes. Without a doubt Hotspots are the hardest paintball I have ever seen. I see those things bounce all the time, and they leave nasty marks compared to other paint.

Premium is nice paint, but I think the fill is too thick. It doesn't like to come out of the shell on a glancing shot. It will break every time, but frequently it will still deflect without leaving a mark.

I shoot Xball Gold, and Blaze, both are very nice. Xball is very accurate and has an amazing fill. However it is very brittle, and certain markers will most certainly have issues with it breaking. Blaze has a slightly thicker shell, and will easily run through any marker, works well with flatlines and apex's.

As Bizzare said, nothing gets through the branchs....Just shoot what ever your comfortable with.

I only have one complaint about hotspots and that is the metallic kind, it breaks not only in the barrel but my cyclone eats em like cereal and it looks like a bowl of soup after a round with em.

but the non metallic hotspots are awsome, sure it leaves nasty welts but thats what the sport is all about : )

See ya'll on sunday!

Keep in mind scenario ball is not tourney paint ball. Most people go out on bounces, and making sure it breaks is not a huge concern. If it doesn't break shoot them again....it is not a tourney were you need it to break when they run through your lanes. Last scenario game I used a whole case of draxus X-ball silver that had broken balls in the pack, my ego 7 and halo are all full of gunk but I still had fun.

I personally try and buy the cheapest paint I can find since I burn through so much paint.

Xball bronze does a great job of cutting through leaves, tall grass, a few branches here and there. The problem that you run into with such a thick shell is that it is likely not to break on target, thus making it nearly useless.

Stick with your Premium or Xball silver or gold.

well, i have been known to have major anger problems and i'm kind of a prick.:D Just kidding...

but seriously, from my point of view, (and i'm not speaking for everyone) i think marblizers are the most painfull ball to be hit by.:scared0012: just ask d, he loves shooting those. likes the way people let out a yelp when he hits them, that way he knows they're out.laughing:)

Typically a cheaper paint is going to have a harder shell because its less money they have to spend on paint.Very small amounts of paint are saved but think about how many actual paintballs they make.

I guess if you really think about it that does make since. I guess if it where other way around (shell more expensive) we would have extremely brittle cheap paint and mard expensive paint.

thats what higher end paint is thin brittle shell made to hold a lot of thick bright goodness.Perfect for high end markers.

I don't like premiums. The shells are too thin. They tend to have lots of barrel breaks.

some of you who have been playing for a while might remember proball?
thick wax based paint, this stuff was a brush cutter.
it would go thru twigs, break on you, then good luck getting it off without a water bottle.

Yeah I remember those, I loved those things, but the people on the receiving end hated them. I think it was because it didn't come off without a good washing and it was thick and bright.

/\ Shawn, Were you on the Coalition? Black Phantom? Black shirt/jersey? I think I kept looking at you, wondering if I knew you from somewhere. Was'nt trying to give you the stare down or anything

In case anyone did not catch it, I was NOT REALLY calling "D" out as a velocity ramper. Though I am sure in his 20+ years of 'Ballin he has seen a few tricks, I have no doubt in his Integrity.

Best brush cutter IMO is "Blue Streak", but since it is shaped like milk duds it is very unsafe...Chrono jumps in the double digits!

While I LOVE [fresh] Marbs, that SuperSwirl at WMart tends to get through the brush a little better.

don't worry bout it foster, i'm sure people realized that you, me and whoever else were just joking around. "D" is a good and honest player and anyone that's played with him knows that. though it is probably good to specifiy that it was all just a joke.:)

It was all in fun. I hope there aren't any bad feelings.
