Yeah this was a great day, beautiful weather a ton of people. I don't think it could have gotten any better. D even managed to get out there and rock the A1.
When I was recording Petey I saw you spitting some hate (ALOT of it) at some poor soul. LOL

the kid in the last pic on page 3 is a man now he stood on the cone for an iron man game with no paint in his gun getting railed on.
Great pics. Not many from the Blue Team though, but they still tell the story./AKA

One comment about the "boats" I feel those are a little big not critizing but I gues you throw enough people in there it will seem smaller.

The LCM is 50 feet long with a beam of 14 feet. She weighs about 25 tons and has a cargo space 32 by 91/2 in which a 30-ton tank can be carried. (Because of this ability to ferry tanks, this boat is sometimes called a tank lighter.) If not transporting a vehicle, the "M(3)" can take 60,000 pounds of cargo or 120 troops ashore on each run.
I had the scenario boats make to be 12' by 24' and I had the Flags place on the front, instead of the back, to help see them through the brush.
Podoz1: For us that were at the game. :) The boat were the right size. :)
Hay WreckingCrew what do you know about the marking on the real boats?
Most boats from pictures started with PA and one with NE. Do you have or know where to get more info on this. I want marking from boats that landed at Omaha not Ultah and else where

This has no relation to the paintball event, but what were the engineers at the time thinking?
"Why yes, let's make a shooting gallery with a drop down door in the front..."
No disrespect intended towards any of the brave men who fought that day, just a bit of criticism for the boat designers who were probably still back in the US.

^^ this is true I can't remember his name but one man designed all of those boats used on that day they where designed to push all the way up the beach to soild (or semi-solid sand) and drop then but the Nazi atticipated this and put rock metal bars and other debris (sp) to block their progress.
Back on topic: it is true that i was not there but i will be there sunday and then can inspect and most likely revise my assesment. I believe they look big becuase they were short and there where not alot of people "using" them as I stated earlier, "throw enough people in there it will seem smaller".

Shallow draft and wide exit was made for equipment and troops. on a side note most of the opposition on the beach was supposed to be supressed by a bombardment through the landing but stopped 5 mins before

those pictures of the day were pretty convincing. That is, that it was one great day. from what I saw, I thought it was pretty cool that people had to really work for every foot of land. I really am bummed that I couldn't make it.:(
