Web site Promotion time!

I am back from my trip to New Zealand and now it's time to start promoting this new MN scenario paintball web site.

I need everyones help. Over the winter the web site has mainly been used by team players that were invited or saw a post somewhere about the new site.

Now that the paintball season is starting up we need to tell all the other woodsball/scenario players out there.

I am asking everyone to tell other players about the web site every time you play. We need to branch out beyond just the scenario teams we all know. We do not want to become a click. We all need new blood (players) to continue growing the sport.

Tell everyone you run into everytime you play.

Monday I will start work on the main pages.

Yes, Welcome home Darrin and thanks for the updates on your trip.:cool: I have been printing up business cards with the Logo (Badgers winning entry of course) ;)and address to the site, and handing them out and sticking them up wherever I can find. I think that works a little. Attaching the address to sigs in other Forums also works well.
As for Badgers question about going nation wide, I don't see why not, there is alot of Minnesota players that have moved from Minnesota and still play Paintball wherever they had moved to, if they see our site it would help them get into a Game if they should ever come back for a visit. Or just sign on to keep a Minnesota connection. Anyway since only have started in Oct. we have done well so far. Once we get to playing this year the word should travel alot more./AKA

You can promote anywhere but I think the strength of the web site and forum is that it's more local. And that is Scenario Only.

Nationally there are a number of great web site like pbnation.com and so many others.

I think is best to promote to players we may see at a local game over the summer.

Thats another season I think it would be great promote face to face when you meet a player at a game/event.

I will work on some free shirts and other items that will help start conversations about the "Minnesota Scenario Paintball Guide" :)

Welcome back old man. I've been telling all my friends ( OK that's 2...maybe 1) about the web site. What do the numbers (guests) look like now?

i wish i had sticker paper, stickers would be a good idea i think :] many people like stickers and they easy to hand out or put on hoppers. if players read it they will wonder what it is... and check it out:)

I'll spread the word during the season.

The sticker idea is nice, but we'll need to find somewhere to make them.

Handouts aren't going to work that great, just ask MnRAT... I still have way too many of those salmon-colored fliers from the 2006 Expo.

I like the sticker idea... I could throw one on the top of my laptop and let people look at it from across the class room.
And I also have a good size stack of those salmon colored fliers that didn't work out for mnrat.
