Golf

Who would have thought that one could combine the sport of scenario paintball with the game of golf? Well, if you give me enough time, I'll come up with it. And, I have! This game is more about perfecting your accuracy than it is about tactics and shooting your fellow man. This is a team practice game and a nice detour from the classic war scenarios you might be used to.

In this game, plastic Frisbee discs are hung from string on tree branches throughout a wooded field. On each disc, a number is drawn in marker, signifying it to be a hole on a golf course. It would be wise to create a map of where each hole is, as "golfers" might lose track of the next hole during play.

Players should divide up into teams of four, and start at different locations on the field. When the horn sounds, one player is selected from each team to go first. That player will take his/her marker and aim for a particular tree in the woods. Whichever tree is hit with a paintball, that's where the player will take his/her next shot. Should the player miss any tree, that would count as a stroke. They continue to fire until they hit a recognizable spot. In other words, large rocks or fallen logs would work too. The shot just has to be recognized.

After that person fires, the next person in the foursome then takes a shot, just like in a regular golf game. The end result is that players must advance themselves up to a point where they can take a shot at the hanging Frisbee. A successful hit on the disc means the ball went in the hole. Again, each missed shot is a stroke against them.

Keep in mind too, that multiple shots fired each count as a stroke, so remember to turn your E-grips back to semi-auto mode! Hitting another player out on the field is also considered a penalty stroke, so be careful where you aim. Players are also allowed to carry as many markers with them as they feel comfortable playing. If your sniper marker is more accurate for close range shots than your Tippmann, carry it along. It's up to you.

The winner of the foursome is the person with the lowest score after the total number of holes played. Also, you can play as many variations of golf in this version as well. Bingo-Bango-Bongo, Best Ball, etc. are all acceptable variations.

When you're not up to a lot of running, try your hand at Paintball Golf. You'll be surprised at how much fun a game of accuracy can be!
