Some people a couple of weeks ago posted pictures of Autocockers, and for someone with out a job, that hurt. But I found the Pill to Fix my ailment and it is a WGP Super Stock Select Fire Paintball Gun drool:)

*GASP*, Well i still want a JJ : )
How well does cocker performe? They seem like an awesome marker in the past but had died down a bit. They also look like high maintence markers.

Autocockers aren't high maintenance.
The reason they seem to be that way is that there is a lot that someone can tinker with. I emphasized the "can" because even if it could be done, it doesn't mean it needs to be done.
Most autococker problems come from a user who plays around with it too much without knowing what they are doing. If you get it set up right and then don't touch it, it's great. If you know what you're doing, fine go ahead and tinker a bit. Have fun. If you don't really know yet, just leave it as it is and go read up on it before you tinker.
As for the reason they're fading away, well, simply put electros do the job better/faster/lighter without having any "complex" mechanical pneumatic systems like the autococker. They're still great guns, but the electros are more friendly to the less mechanically inclined.

i would have to agree... timing a cocker isn't hard at all... if its some what close to right... if someone who doesn't know what their doing plays around a little to much it can become a real pain in the ***

Yeah I love Cockers.... quiet:) My buddy just picked up the Select fire super he got it just before the last Halloween game. He got it on Action for like 150 something, basically to compare that, is something you would get out of a trunk in the back of an alley. He shoots just ropes and arrows with it. More than half of my team including me were using an autococker.
If you can find a select fire for that price don't hesitate for a second. It would be a great main gun or a backup. Even the cheapys (trilogy series) are amazing markers for the price. If you dont got a lot of dough and want something that accurate and reliable (if you dont screw around with it) they are perfect from my exp.
I think they completely revamped there product line. Action was just giving them away a couple months ago. I am not sure if they even make the super stocks and or the trilogies anymore. I hope not cuz they were very reliable guns for the price.
Well thats my retarded two cents. I am glad I could waste a couple minutes of you life.

I'm down to my last 60 bucks *UGH*, but i bought just for what Brando said, GREAT CHEAP GUN. (is now at least). i just got to the point where my A-5 wasnt cutting it anymore (accuracy wise) or fast enough. And From the stories and seeing Badmoon's stiffi cocker on the last day of the season, man right then i knew i had to buy one before D-day.
drool....................
