Risk

Most, if not all scenario paintballers, are familiar with the Parker Brothers game of world domination. I am talking about the game of Risk. In this popular board game, players conquer countries of the world with vast armies and the rolling of dice.

However, wouldn’t it be great to bring that concept to the scenario paintball field? I think I may have your solution. In this scenario game idea, it will require a lot of players and distinct sections of the field marked off to signify countries.

Two team captains would select five players each. These would become the two main armies to start out. All the other players would be evenly divided up according to the number of countries on the field. All of these players would be considered neutral armies and would NOT attack another country unless attacked first. If you are playing with a lot of players, decide what a good starting number should be. There should be at least two more attacking
players at the start of a game than any neutral country starting number.

If the neutral county army is taken out, they do NOT become additions to the attacking country until the entire side is wiped out. Once the attacking country has eliminated the entire neutral country, all players, minus one join in as attacking countrymen and move on to attack other countries. However, one player from the winning side MUST stay behind in that country to show ownership to that attacking side.

Neutral players hit during an invasion must stay on at the border of their country until the attack is over. If the country remains neutral, they can come back in as though they were never hit. Neutral players stay neutral until the skirmish is completed. Once a player is eliminated as an attacking soldier, they are out of the game. Thus, no attacking army really gets to be too large as they continue on attacking neutral countries. Also, attacking
countries can only attack adjoining countries, just like in the board game. You cannot launch volleys of paint over a country to hit players in another country.

Only one attacking country can attack a neutral country at a time. If an attacking army sees a neutral country under attack from the other attacking army, they must wait it out to see who is the victor. The game ends when one side has dominated the field with their armies. Have fun, play safe, use honesty and integrity when playing, and to the victor goes the spoils!

Who is this Victor guy anyway and why does he always get the spoils??

Those are just some of the many scenario ideas I have. Many more are in my books. www.scenariopaintballbook.com (http://www.scenariopaintballbook.com/) if you want to check them out and order them.
