Back in 1995 a tournament was held in FL and the top 8 teams would have their games filmed and aired on ESPN.

I believe the Entry was $2000 per team and there was 40 teams, maybe more at the start. The Entry helped pay for production.

The MN Terminators got the 8th spot and played the All A's 2 in one of the first games to air on ESPN2. Also our last for we lost.

Yes I played in this game but do not have found memories of the last game we played, the game that aired on ESPN.

Yes I was the first player out and yes we lost but there is more then meets the eye on the video. Note the famous "longball".

This was a very big deal back in 1995 to finally get paintball on ESPN. Sponsors wanted to be seen, teams wanted to be seen. Some of the crowd that watch the end of our game was yelling the we got robbed because of few things, the player that played on at the end and then stands in the way at the end to block shots for the guy that grabbed the flag, the MN Terminator players that were left had the flag covered and were dug in, the All A's 2 players may not of been able to get the flag before time ran out if that was not allowed to happen. And main season spectators were yelling was because the flag carrier had a big hit in his goggles and the hit happen back in mid game and the refs let him hang the flag. The hit player shot 3 Terminators and stopped our counter push on the far side of the field. Watch as he keeps his head down and tries to hide it from the spectators. Sadly the footage that you can see it best is missing when the ref check him at the end of the game. On the footage the sound goes way down because a few spectators yelled "He's hit in the fu**ing goggles Jerry" and Jerry yells back "Shout up". Listen all through the game as everyone talks about the All A's 2 "Long Ball" :) They out distanced us by 40 to 50 feet. The longball, ya it called shooting hot! Way hot.

All I real know is that we had beaten the All A's 2 the day before in the prelims when all thing were equal.

They were a better team and out played us and got them and their sponsors more TV time.

This was not the MN Terminators finest hour but we played stand up ball.

Well I guess you can say I didn't play stand up ball because I trip on the break and got hit almost right away. :) Thanks to the tractor 12" ruts at our base and the "Longball"

I just got my hand on most of the footage. Starts as I walk off the field and the footage of the end of the game is missing because the tape ran out and recording stop for another tape to be put in, have a little of post game. I had not seen this footage since the year it aired back in 1995-96.

Should be up in about a week.

P.S. Watch out for the Longball. :)
