Honorable Members of the Great Lakes Crusaders;

As the snows melt and the temperature rises, the honor of leading
our forces rests upon my shoulders as I take up the mantle AKA has
set down. Last year we lost some ground after fighting valiantly
against the Midwest hordes. Now they sit uncomfortably close to our
homes and farms, threatening our way of life and our very existence.

It has been ten years since the asteroid fell and destroyed the central
leadership of the United States. After four years of scraping together
what was left, those Midwest miscreants are not happy with all they
have and want what isn’t theirs. We were forced to protect ourselves
and our new country. For six years we have been fighting this border
war, but now with the conscripts rallying from Illinois, Indiana,
Michigan and Ohio coming to help Wisconsin, we may be able to push
the Alliance back across the St. Croix. They can spend the next winter
in their soybean fields and knee deep in wild rice paddies.

Many lives have been laid at the altar of freedom and more paint is to
be spilled. I only ask that you show up and fight as bravely and
honorably as you have in the past. New recruits will enter the
skirmish and we must take it upon ourselves to encourage and teach
them way to survive.

I return now to my planning and strategy sessions, I know it won’t be too long until the Alliance tries to push us back further into the hills and valleys that make this country beautiful.

With courage comes victory; with victory comes the comfort to live free. I will see you on the battlefield, where it will be my honor to command and fight next to you.

"You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors. Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival."

As Dillon stands up to command the forces of the Midwest Alliance, he brings with him the newly formed POINT BLANK MINUTEMEN and about 30ish players. This adds the combined team to the list of established and talented teams that have joined to comprise the Midwest Alliance core fighting teams.

Does this move phase or scare me? NUTS! We have talented men and women of many strong teams to meet them on the battlefield. We will prevail and push those yokels back across the St. Croix!

Cry Havoc and let slip the dogs of war!

Drachen, thanks for bringing the backup. I surely do appreciate any help I can get. Woodland Security is simply having a good year, playing paintball with a bunch of awesome people.
Speaking for myself, I'll take any props I can get, but for the team, I hope they only get what they all actually earn. You gotta play a great game of "stand-up paintball", and then you can be happy campers.
I gotta say, win or lose, I love this game. More when I win than when I lose, but all's fair.

Rogue, I would just like to appologize for the last minute switch, but i couldnt handle the strict new laws that the GLC government was enforcing, and i realized how much of a corrupt system it really is. So i have defected to fight for what's right.
/character

lol but really tho sorry for the last minute jump, but no one else was stepping up and i was there to fill it in ;). it will be an honor to battle against the one and only Rogue.

Good luck to you and gramps, and the rest of the GLC...you guys will need it.

Thanks, Cpt. Patches. I hope we all have a jolly-good time on the field. Hope this don't hurt your feelings, but I don't want to see your face on my hill dude.

AKA, another 8 hours, bloody awful, but worth it if we can remove the MA scourge from our rightful lands. LOL

You going to protect the MA flag a little better during the final battle this year, Thalion? :D

Yes. We'll leave exactly one guy to deal with just your unarmed self.

Oh, better yet - we'll booby trap it. Problem solved.

(Of course, I really don't care about that 10,000 points when in the same time frame we grabbed 64,000 for just those two towers in the grass field)

Komodo

It's ok if you play with dolls. It probably compensates for your INSECURITY chicken:)
And Captain Patches don't worry if they're creating effigies of you already you know they're scared.

I think I remember who changed the flags on both towers. Not to mention eliminated a Terminator. I had mud in my shorts still when I got home.

I was just talking about the final battle. I was everywhere else all day. The few times I was there durring the day ,I kinda felt like everyone was standing around at the top of the hill watching the GLC reisertion point and shooting them when they enter with that big bad tank. Kinda boring paintball. pluss ,looking at it from an Alliance point of view last year. I felt it was easier to take the towers from the alliance side than the glc side. we had tree cover and glc had the urban field and that long hill with no cover to get across. Between the Pelican Bregade,MN Mayhem,Mn Militia,Woodland Security and a few others I cant mention yet. we'll hold our own. I have alot of faith that Wild Bunch,Farmland, and the Terminators will bring their game. It will be a great battle. the other small things dont worry us. like a little tank with with a gunner wearing a dish bowl on his head.!.. In the end.......we're all friends and we laugh and move on to the next scenario. LOL.......

p.s. These comments are just joking around and don't intend to offend anyone.

My fellow members of the Great Lakes Crusaders;

On the morrow we face the invading hordes of the Midwest Alliance. I know you are ready to send them back to their corn crops.

To paraphrase Ike's message to the troops before D-Day:

You are about to embark upon battle as the Great Lakes Crusader, toward which we have striven these many months. The
hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you.
In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms, you will bring about the destruction of the Midwest Alliance war
machine, the elimination of Minnesota's tyranny over the oppressed peoples of
Wisconsin, and security for ourselves in a free world.

Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well
equipped and battle hardened. He will fight savagely.

But this is the year! Much has happened since the M.A. triumphs of
last year. Our Home Fronts have given us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions of war, and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men. The tide has turned! The free men of the Great Lakes are marching together to Victory!

I have full confidence in your courage and devotion to duty and skill in
battle. We will accept nothing less than your full effort toward a victory!

Good luck! And let us beseech the blessing of Almighty God, Buddha, Mohammed, the Fates, Odin, Zeus, the Ancient ones or whomever you pray to upon this great and noble undertaking.

I'll see you on the field! beret:)

It was more in light hearted jest than anything else.

Historical classics will forever live on. I'm sure someone somewhere else is quoting it for another reason entirely.
