what is the most effective way to make a LAW for paintball? how far do they usually shoot? would someone give a materials list/instructions?

i saw that video last night. i'm confused about why you would pull the pvc out after the fiberglass has set. that whole step doesn't make sense to me.

CrazyDave (where'd he go?) posted a how-to thread here. (http://www.minnesotascenariopaintball.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1080)

i remember seeing that thread last year before i went to GBG. but i'm not sure how he did it. or where he got the parts from. shortly after i saw it i sent dave a pm asking him for a parts list and some instructions but never heard back from him.

I think you really should think about just buying one of the manufactured launchers that are out there. they are safer, faster, in a many cases the only ones allowed at certain fields (something I personally feel is a good idea, insurance after all is important)

ask one of the guys that shoots the metadyne or the jcs launchers whether they think they are worth it....

Hey, cutstep, you shoot a Metadyne Havoc, right? Is it worth it?

Seriously, though.

If you make one (and it's not one of the 12g-powered mini-launchers), make sure the air chamber uses a pop-off valve in case your regulator fails. I used this one from Palmer's (http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=68) when I made the gun in Lil' Reb. I set it to open at about 110psi.

would you recommend staying away fromt he 12g LAW's?

They're probably fine. They're definitely simpler and more compact, but I've never built one. Krutsie would know more than me.

mondo, you can shoot snowballs 100 yards with them ;)

there is supposedly some attachment that you can fit to the front a tippmann that will fire nerfs as well, that would be a simple and safe thing to accomodate the use of the law

I havent been able to find one but this is the interwebs, Im sure someone knows something

i was talking with krutsie about it earlier. he is going to post some pictures and things for me. i might have one of his guys assist me in making one.

either its me or there is not that much out there for instructions. i keep running into the same posts over and over. i know what i'd like to do. but i don't know how to regulate it to shoot at splat tag's 280 fps. i know it needs an expansion chamber but how big? i will be using steel for the expansion chamber. i've decided not to build one of the 12g co2 law's for that fact that you have to replace the co2 cartridge for every shot. i'd rather use a 12 oz co2 tank, or my remote line from my hpa tank. any more ideas are welcomed!

I got myself a Havoc (thanks cutstep) and I LOVE THIS THING !!!!!
It is well worth investing in a manufactured law. this fits in a pod pack just fine and I found a holster on line for my which works great on my tac vest with a little mod.
I took out a base and the tank at the hunt with this, with out missing a beat. I run mine with a remote line, so I just unhook my remote line from my marker and hook it up to my Havoc and BAM I'm ready to go. I can also use a bottle on the set up if I like.
Krutsie has fired my Havoc and I am sure he will agree its pretty sick.

Not sure what "adapter" they're using to adapt the ASA threads to the 1" pipe. Grrr.

i've made one just like this. i currently have a small leak to take care of but that is it. i'm planning on trying it this weekend at splat tag.
