I look at it this way - it's a good thing if players are that excited about this game that they start talking about it that far out.

It's a credit to the HFTC as an event more than anything.

Actually, a correct statement is no general since the Coalition has won more than once.

Wild Bunch - did Drew general both HFTC 1 and 2, or just 2? (I know he was a returning general for 3, which was the same game the Coalition came into being instead of just the Marines)

BOOOOYAAA! Heck yeah I'm excited! This will be my first scenario and I have been planning on it since last October! Count me in the Coalition side...even though Ish said he might paint a target on my back...you can't shoot what you can't catch...or see! HAHAAA

By the way...I'll be bringing Vikingsniper, Widowmaker, Caviar, T-Row, Rupkal and a number of others with me as first time players!

has any story line been started yet to help throw some gas on this fire :D

also I have an old friend from high school who started his own screen printing business and was thinking about having him design some T-shirts to sell and raise some money for HFTC. would anyone be interested in buying one? (this is just to gauge interest before I get him working on it) the price would be around $15 a shirt and say something around the lines of "I support THE HUNT" and some sort of design work. after he was paid 100% of the money raised would be donated. I will try to get him to send me some picks of his work and I'll post em here when he does.

Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled that the event has grown to what it is.
Can't forget the 35 players from the first year.
I can remember how discouraged I was. We put just as much work into that game as we do every year. It was Chris Berg (r.i.p.) who pulled me aside & told me "Don't give up on this". If it wasn't for him, there wouldn't be a Hunt.

To honor those players who have been with us all these years, I'll throw down right now.
Every player who shows up at the Hunt, with the first year's patch, who played in the game, gets their 2010 Hunt for the Cure entry for FREE!!

But I surely will be putting in a full time effort once again very soon, to see that the Coalition will remain a Winning Force./AKA

I think I remember hearing a long time ago that Mustangman was being considered as Merc General. Being the Anarchy General makes more sence but I feel taking the Mercs out of the scenario would make Wisconsin's turnout low. Its all about getting more player from new areas.
As most you know a few of my senior team members Have left Woodland Security late in 2009(Frank(Ish) and Joker to name a few) . Although It was on good terms I'm sure they will go with you Mustangman. Will that sway Woodland Security?.......Not. We are as loyal to the Coalition as ever. We have a new field Captain, Colby Alberts, and we have 5 or 6 new player that have totally diferent playing styles. So any intell recieved from those people that left us, wont hurt us. I'm exited for a fun battle.

Well, well, well, looky what we have here, a 2 year Vet of the US Coalition Forces playing turn-coat to the Invision Anarchy! I remember what happened to one of those Trench Coat Mongrols in our last Battle, he took a hit to the Head by BadMoon, I sure hope something like this does'nt happen to the Mustangman!:p

Well I hope it was'nt anything I said or done to you Mustangman, that would make you want to take up arms and come into our thread to do your recruiting against Me and The Coalition. But as you know being a former Coalition, we are a Strong Unified and Loyal Force with a Mission, to uphold The Coalition Name for another Year. I believe only a few will turn just to wear a Cute out of date Trench Coat. So if You must, You must, but I gotta tell ya those things are Sissy!:p

:D, Anyway welcome to the Role of Commander in The-HFTC '10 Charity Game. I'll be looking forward to going Head-to-Head with you this year! Now Get the **** outta here!:rolleyes:/AKA

Ah, Tim, it was not the offer of money or riches, but the opportunity to test my self and those around me with a new challenge. there are no ill feelings, more like the chance to test myself in a battle of wits against an experienced opponent.

have no fear I will not sully your thread any further. there will be another thread soon and I believe my recruiting skills will rival anything the Coalition can do.

I know,

This is just my oppinion:(somewhat in caracter)

Badger guys will probebly show up as a Merc force. it was in the scenario last year for a third party to cause Havok (the actual Envision Anarchy) It was a mysterious team from out of state that set up camp across the field.....WHATEVER. There were two guys in trench coats but they were just regular players in trench coats. We scouted the whole area and there were no other camps anywhere. I believe they added a third party that didn't exist to keep us on our edge. I feel that this year the same rummer will start but this year it will be true. THE Mercs aren't gone I can smell their stench. Badger will get his revenge. again.. "Just my oppinion"

Well, as of this moment, the Sentinels are discussing amongst themselves.

We have a history of playing for both of the two good choices for this year's Hunt.

Both of you (Tim and Matt) are capable leaders and skilled opponents. Whichever way we decide to go, I want to make it clear up front that it is nothing personal to the other general - you both have our respect and we would gladly run with you any day.

I got this after the game last year....

http://img710.imageshack.us/img710/8458/eathankyou.jpg

they were out there, just very well hidden, I saw them along the back of the field the most and nobody could figure out where they were getting shot from (I had to intervene once when one guy thought his teammate shot him ;)).... one of them told me that someone even kneeled on his hand while taking fire through the underbrush but didnt notice him.... Mustangman could have some sneaky devils at his disposal if he plays his cards right

Drew from Warfare won the first 2 Hunts playing as mercenary general.

Mercs - 3

Yes, My game plan is to play on Mustangmans side, I like playing for the underdog and thats the only reason. If game day comes and one side is over powered i'll switch. Well, after a long conversation with the Sentinels, the final decision is to join Mustangman.

Mustangman -- We will be honored to run with you as you take the lead of the first Envision Anarchy team

AKA -- We will be honored to play against a skilled and honorable opponent. Our decision is not a reflection on you or anyone else in the fine ranks of the Coalition. Quite the opposite really -- we will enjoy seeing you out at the field and a playing really hard game.

Guys, this was probably the longest discussion we've ever had as a team. There wasn't an easy pick for sides. This promises to be one of the best games yet as we see some of the finest paintball leaders in our region.

I hope to see you all there, on either side.

It appears that my thoughts of Loyalties to The Coalition have taken somewhat of a turn, I hav'nt even put up an official Coalition Forces recruiting thread and have already noticed as to whom I will not to expect back for The Coalitions Victory in 2010.
Thalion, I realize that you have sided with Mustangman in all Games He and WCH have attended, and I guess I should'nt have expected This HFTC Game to be any differant. Tim, consider it a compliment that I have begun my recruiting already. I expect a physically intense and mentally draining battle. granted, one which I intend to win and to do that i will recruit heavily the players and teams that mesh well with my style and understand me as a player. don't worry, I am going outside the game as well. my hope is to raise the level of competition and sportsmanship. the HFTC is quickly becoming a "must-attend" event. hopefully we can both work towards drawing in new blood, not just pilfering each others troops.

Yes, I understand. Thanks for the Compliment. I last year had an awesome Group of Teams and Players, which made my job as a first time General that much more easier to be confident in our abilities to Win. It is still a very tough job, and I'm glad to hear you are our opposing General. We will have some hair pulling and fingernail biting to do in our preperations and recruiting. While I certainly know about the rivalries, I assure you, I'm not jumping to Envision Anarchy for a rivalry. The Sentinels have had a long friendship with both the Pelicans and the Working Class Heroes. That won't change over this game.

Wait I just remembered, I am the Coalition XO. Forget you, I will indeed be there. There may be some danger around and near the Coalition Base that you should be aware of.

Oh my, did I say that. Worry not, Firefly. A great warrior as yourself need not fear anything from a 57 year old dude with MS.

Or,,,,, do you.

My, I must be losing control of my emotions. I nearly broke into tears from reading all of Firefly's postings. Finally I realized they would have been tears of laughter, not fear. There, I'm all better now.

Your wise wisdom has earned much respect even from your forcoming enemies......it shall be a honor to accept your surrender when that day comes.
You might not be as swift as I, but your experience is a true test to my skills & I will train hard to overcome your advantages (ie, Hiding in the main base)
The Coalition has for too long ruled with a iron fist & the time has come for freedom..... let Anarchy rule!
