this a call to all MN paintballers, anyone looking for an awesome time and the ability to really rack up the kill count should look at joining the 716th. we have a new beach and new scoring tables which make our AOR more valuable both strategically and towards the points count. we have probaby the largest group of MN paintballers and a large following from the midwest. there are several players on this forum who have played with and for me @ OK and they can all tell you about how great their experiences were in the years past. well, expect that to be surpassed this year. any questions or comments can be directed to myself or my Command Seargeant Major, Neil Chittendon aka nchittendon here on the forums.

am going to keep this thread moving. am looking for solid players and teams who would like to make a contribution to the largest German division @ OK DDay. if you think you have what it takes to drive the Allies back into the sea, the let's talk.

WOOT!
I am here with a message from Mustangman and the 716th!
Our beach is bigger than last year......
We have little to no cover from the rear where last year we had concrete piping for a form of cover.....
We are going to need more bodies this year.....

the southern end of the field is now worth more points than either the central or northern end. we will have more new buildings and our final scoring is now at

meaning, that everything we do is of vital importance. if the south falls, so does the whole German Army.

Not trying to sound too cynical here, but that almost looks a lot like they're changing the field to match the Allies (read: Commonwealth) strategy rather than have the Allies change their strategy.
I'm all for a bigger field and more objectives, just thinking how interesting this coincides with two German victories in a row.

Tim if you would rather give me a call, would be easier to explain all the changes over the phone than on here. put simply, the CW is in for the biggest challenge the have ever faced.:D

716!
FEAR THE TREES!
Join the Darkside...together we can defeat the commonwealth and rule the field!
Join up with the 716th today! it's a lot of fun and IMHO you won't have a better time with another unit.
The 716 is the best unit at D-Day and we have the greatest commander in Mustangman.
Hope to see all of you there!

thanks for the compliment, pretty sure I haven't earned it yet though. besides, the 716th isn"t about any individual, but about the Division as a whole. any one looking to have a great time on and off the field should consider the 716th.

I haven't given up hope of making it yet, but it's been a brutal year for me already.
Has anyone begun making carpool plans? How many of you typically camp vs. stay at hotels?
Mustangman

I would say about 80% of people camp. and yes some of us are making carpool plans. if you are interested Mondo, feel free to call me and I can answer any questions as well as let you know about riding with us.

guys and gals, now that it's tax time is the perfect time to put away some cash for DDay. plan ahead. this will be an event to remember. new rules, new changes to the field. all around a great time.

Anyone know of a RV rental place near the twin cities? I don't personally have a vehicle that can make that trek, and the biggest concern for me to be able to go is cost of staying a few days down there in a hotel or otherwise.
If there is a rental place....anyone want to split the cost? lol

You can camp at the field. Granted that's not for everyone, but it certainly is an option.

What has the temp been for the event in years past?
Thalion

I'd guess anywhere between 85-105*
It's varied from year to year. When we get a big downpour on the Friday before it helps.
And it's humid.

Think MN during a particularly hot July. I don't think it ever got below 70 at night the whole week last (didn't make for the best sleeping weather).
