Very interesting.

The next question will be to see if they retain the original quality of the old ones, or follow Tippmann's latest trend in QC.

I will definitely keep my eye on it though - looks great and I'm glad to see them coming back.

Can you put aftermarket barrels on these I have always wondered that.

IIRC there were very few aftermarket barrels for these. In fact the only one I ever saw was just a longer Tippmann Barrel. Keep in mind that these were a slip-on clamping collar type. They were not threaded on. Like you see on the Blazers.

Actually you could probably put almost any barrel on it. Provided that you mill the threading off of the barrel.

Blazer's and Pyre's are also slip fit. Not threaded barrels.

I've heard the price is going to be 170 which is way to much considering you can get a used one for 60.

Yeah I mean come on, it's more expensive than a 98 or an A5???

They should try more around $100-$120.

Oh no! This means Stapes and the boys will be selling all the high end pumps and go back to SL-68's.

I'm with a few of the others, the price should be around $110.
I do miss the one I had many years ago.

I think j&j used to have a barrel for the 68's a long time ago.

"People didn't know it was a Tippmann, so we put it on the handle now."

Is he serious?

I didn't know that the sl-68 II was made up to 2003; I thought it was just a mid 90s marker.

And yeah Thalion, I think he was serious....guess the big chunk of cast metal doesn't give them away:rolleyes:
