Never to early to start recruiting for next year...

This past June, I went to OK D-Day for the first time and joined the 6th Fallshirmjager Regiment (the German Airborne). I didn't know what to expect, but I had heard that it was a great group of people to play with and the unit had a tough mission. I wasn't mistaken.

The 6th FJR is a highly mobile, elite, reactionary assault force. First and foremost an assault unit, we are capable of responding at a moment's notice to where we are needed most...striking hard and fast and then fading into nothingness..only to reappear where we are least expected.

We are a unit that thrives on camaraderie, teamwork and the willingness to give 110% throughout game day. We honor the traditions Airborne Paratroopers. Our leaders are active-duty airborne and they train us throughout the week to create the best unit possible.

This year (2009), I was the only Minnesotan in the unit...I think we can do better. If you're thinking about going to OK D-Day in 2010 and are looking for great unit to join, consider the 6th...we'd be glad to have you.

or you could do like all the other Minnesotans and join the 716th. would be much easier for one person to make the change than all the rest of us.:D

Ah, yes, the 6th.

716th does the hard work, 6th does the mop up and steals the credit.

Just ask the refs at Colleville.

:)

Maybe that was true in 08' but this year, Colleville as all you guys and the MEK. We, on the hand, held the woods, making you life easier in Colleville...:)

In all honesty, both units do a great job on the field and are fun to play with.

Naw...I'm total dedicated to the 6th...but I'm sure there are a few players out there who are thinking about going next year who haven't chosen a unit yet...

I was referring to '08. I seem to recall refs yelling "fear the trees."

(and yes, I'm giving you guys a hard time - that's what different units are supposed to do)

All I gotta say is wow I moved to the wrong state. I missed D-Day 09 but in the few yrs past I've been CommonWealth and enjoyed it. If I make 2010 D-Day I might have to become a trador and shoot at my buddies.

We'd certainlly be glad to have you! This year, our main adversaries were the Commenwealth..ended up shooting a lot of Marron :)

Just out of curiosity, what part of the CEF were you in? There's been some talk of both 6th ABs doing a mini or special game together.

I played with the marines, couldn't tell you the outfit number but there's only one group of them. My old field was Command Decisions Paintball home to most of the leaders of the commonwealth. The guy running that field/my old boss kinda did me wrong so yea it wouldn't hurt my feelings to try to get a shot on him since I know his playing style.

I do know my 1st yr I was being chased from the back of sword by a tank and somehow ended up in the middle of Caun "sorry not sure of spelling" and the big prob with that I was in there when germans had it. That's was an interesting fire fight but I made it out just to run into another tank. That yr they stopped the "drop zone" in the wrong place and jumping out of that bus in the presences of A LOT of germans wasn't fun till it was over before my feet hit the ground.

I'm deffinently going to give some thought into being a german if I go this yr sounds fun. My prob is I hate defending bases I'm aggressive player till the end of the day then yea I don't mind sittin still.

Well, in the 6th, we don't defend...we go hunting for the other side....rarely staying in the same spot for long. Our saying this year was play smarter, not harder, and we certainly did that!

Sounds good to me, if I decide to play this yr i'll defiantly get back with you. What's the dress code for the 6th?

Sounds good! Hope to hear from you.

As for the 6th's dress code, there really isn't one. On the field, you can where pretty much whatever you like, though you are expected to stay on the field all day.

Off the field, there's been talk about getting berets similar to the ones that modern Fallshirmjagers wear, but only for formal events.

hahaha, that Alot of germans comment is funny, cause it was only me and 14 other guys from my unit that year. we were tasked with going to help @ Pegasus @ game on and since we weren't allowed to leave our AOR til game on, we ran into the " mis-drop" . was fun cause you guys were firing out of the bus at us and the ref told us we couldn't shoot til the CW were clear of the bus. I spoke with one of the CW officers later in the day and he said we " inflicted 97% casualties on that drop" good thing it's paintball and not really a war.

I think there's a few in the 1st ID as well...

Didn't know there was a contingency of the 352nd up here.

There arent very many of us but we're already planning our trip for 2010 which will be year number five for me in OK.

This year we're hoping to get our paws on a pop up camper, but we'll see what happens.

That would certainly beat camping in a sauna (aka my tent this year)

I'm alil late to this but really only 15? You guys we're slingin alotta paint then, I was told that we were surrounded. I kinda wish I saw the video of us jumpin out the back of the bus while you guys lite us up. Well I'm goin this yr and I have a few grudges against the common wealth so I hope I have the chance to do target shootin.

Well, in that case, welcome to the German team.

Currently, I don't know if I'll be going or not. If I do, it'll be a return to the 716th.

I am a phantom. I strike where my opponent least expects.
Stealth is my weapon and I use it well.
I do not shrink from overwhelming odds, I expect them.
I do what I can to win, but I play with honor.
I am a Fallschirmjager. I am the 6th FJR.

Picture this....

You and your Allied buddies fighting are in middle of an epic battle. You've been fighting through woods for what seems like hours and you're finally on the verge of taking the object. The scoring window is rapidly coming to a close and you only have enough time to make one last push to turn the flag. You get your group geared up to make the final assault and are about to jump out of cover when...

Thwap...Thwap, Thwap, Thwap, Thwap....Thwap

You raise your arm, stand up, look around and then shake your head wondering who got you....

Yeah...that was us...

Join the 6th FJR and discover the joys of attacking where you're least expected!
