View Full Version : Great Lakes Crusaders (GLC) Recruitment * June 6 GBGXVI
The Time is upon us once again to do battle with our enemies to our West.
So it is now time for me to get out the message to all who Represent The Great Lakes Territories. To unite once again to do Battle with those who call themselves the Midwest Alliance.
On June 6th this Battle will take place, we are dug in and on the ready for our advance across the unforgiving line that has kept us seperated for years. Our supplies are new and plenty. We now need You to join us where we will assemble ourselves at the Border, and at Dawn, We Will Advance, and We Will Conquer, the Midwest Alliance.
What I now ask is, is to pass the word throughout the Great Lakes Territory of our intensions, and to sign-up with us, so we may have what it will take to put an end to our struggle.

I, along with the Minutemen and our many comrades from the east, will be joining.
I will be bringing a formadable team, 15-20 soldiers, and we will be capable of completing any task that you ask of us. I fought against you just recently, but now it's time to put that aside and join forces. I ask that you include me in any pre-game planning so we can best defeat the gready westerners.

It was nice to run with you guys at the Hunt, and looking forward to it again for this game.
Synergy will be there with about 6 guys, and we're looking forward to meeting the general that just beat us in the Hunt :)
I am very Honored to see the Backing the GLC has so far, it is going to take alot more fearless indeviduals to cover a Battle Ground as large as the Great Northern Territories. I cannot afford to lose my entire Right Flank once again.(MayhemBrando):p.
It will be nice to meet all those who opposed me also, and I would hope to bring in some allies who would also like to meet you all. For this Battle I will be representing my Vacation-Land.:)/AKA

Are you sure you want to go MidWest on this one?:( I would let you run by my side if I was to get out and shoot it up a bit.tongue:) But if you have your mind made up to oppose me and fling some paint my way, I will tell you one thing, I am bringing my Game Face, and do plan on shooting it up out there this time.;) Thanks for the help at the Hunt by the way, your PM had me wondering if you were a spy or not.:eek:/AKA

Haha yes, I figured my message would get you thinking a little bit about that. I was indeed faithful to the coalition though. I look forward to another day when we will get to sling some paint together, but for the GBG I'll settle for slingin' it at ya!

Yea I knew Sandman26 jumped onboard with Woodland Security, and I was glad to hear that. I had been reading Sandman for the past few years now on the Forum's. We finally met at this years Arctic Blast. Well, playing under the Alliance Flag is your choice and that's fine by me. Since we did'nt get to go at each other in the SPPL tourney last year, we'll use this oppurtunity as what that might have been like.:D/AKA

I suppose Thalion, I was never good with business, I'm a laboror myself, I'll work hard for those who do play under the GLC Flag. It would be nice to have some of our Allies playing along side of us, but I Welcome the chance to work for the Teams and Players who Will fight for the Great Lakes Crusaders, and will be Honored to meet and get to know all of them./AKA

It was a hard dessission AKA. We desided to stay with our Minnesota brothers. Most of the Rochester teams are going Alliance. Unfortunatelly I wont be in the front yelling charge at the GBG, so you wont be hearing my screems right outside your door . but I'm sure we will be knocking. little bit different squad game plan on this style of game.
That was a bummer not being able to play you guys at the SPPL tourney last year. Like Ish said,, If there is another SPPL tourney we'll bring our secret weapon"Duct Tape". The swearing killed us(none of them directed at another player).we only got 2or3 violations all day but those lost points hurt.
Anyways I will be on your side HFTC 2010. No hard feelngs.LOL
To all those who have made the choice to fight for the Great Lakes Crusaders, Thank-You and Welcome. Time is running down and soon we will be side by side in the Big Battle. At this time I do not know how we stand for manpower, but I am confident that we will be strong enough for what we must do. I am still hoping to hear from more Players who will be making the GLC's the side of their choice. But until then, we must recruit from within, to be sure that we have our numbers up, with those that want to fight for the GLC's. See you all soon!/AKA-GLC-General

If you want to meet up with AKA on Sunday morning, just look for the tank. :) Our biggest task for the Jungle Rumble is to get the new main cannon installed into Lil' Reb's turret.
Maybe Darrin will let us take it out on the field to test it. tank2:)
It'd make a difference on the D-Day field, maybe helping out an outnumbered Allied force... The Nerf Cannon would make quick work of the German bunkers. :D

Thank-You for the help in recruiting to the GLC Capt. Patches. Like I said in my TY to you at the BB Forums, it's one of the toughest jobs to do as General. It makes it even harder when your not so familiar with the Wisc. Teams and Independents. Wisconsin provides alot of Great Feilds for them to play on and are very wide spread, even Splat-Tag is in Wisconsin. I have been reading alot of their Game scheduals and availibility for Games through out the year and can understand not being able to pull in alot of their help to the GBG. So all the help I can get from you or any other Wisc. natives is surely appreciated.:) Although the GLC does not mean Wisc. soley, it is also made up of some of the MN.'s finest who just want to bring down the Midwest Alliance, because we can!.;)
I am still very confident that with the Teams and Independents that are with us and will be with us at the Start of this Game, we will be able to get the many walk-ons that are assigned to the GLC Game day, to shoot in the right direction, advance, when asked politely, and not to shoot anyone with the same colored arm band as theirs.:D
Yes I am hoping to still be their Sunday, Like MondoMor said, we are planning to mount the MondoMor Canon into Lil'Reb. But I am holding my breathe for you see:...My youngest Daughter who had played beside me for 10 years has not been by my side this year. She is at the end of her 9 month pregnancy with her First Baby and my 3rd Grandchild, which will be Grandson #2. Anyway, she is very close and she wants me there for some reason, but I had told her to make sure it is B4 the 5th of June.;)/AKA

now back to paintball: I am trying to get the best force we can to defeat the alliance :) i think we will have a good chance. But it is tough to get those wisconsin teams out here because a lot of them live down by madison/milwaukee and almost all of them come to the HUNT, but it's too hard for them to make that trip twice in a month.

My Fellow Crusaders, I have just now the time to write to you and to Thank all of you who chose Blue for their Home Team.:)
Yes in the end, it was a loss for the Blue, The AKA-Tim, The Great Lakes Crusaders. But throughout the day we had many sucesses that only those that won them really know about. These Small Wins to those who were able to enjoy, will have Good memories of the day we fought in an all day rain. A very High percantage of us were unfamiliar to the land and trail system throughout the Battlefield which made it very difficult for us to get all of our Players to the points where they were needed. When they did get there they were met by the high numbers of the knowlagable Alliance, who know the field and trail system much better than us. And you fought on regardless.;)
I am very Proud to have Commanded the Great Lakes Crusaders, for never once was our Flag in jeopardy of being touched by the Alliance. You protected Me and Our Flag throughout the miserable day. For your Loyalty and dedicated vow to protect our Honor I too would not leave my Post from start to finish and was to save our Flag in the end from being taken or touched by an Alliance Player.;)
So we can all be proud to have served under the Blue Crusaders Flag, and to have represented the Great Lakes Territories. Thank-You All. AKA/Tim/ General (Retired) Great Lakes Crusaders.

Thank-You Darrin for giving me an oppurtunity to Command a side for a GBG. It was my Eleventh GBG and I feel that this Was the Right time to have my Chance. It is a Big Part in my and my Club's Life and History. Thanks once again and for putting on the GBG's that I love so much.:)
You are right we don't have anything to be ashamed of coming up with the loss. It was a tough day and they worked hard to even keep it close. With 2 oppurtunities to drop the Alliance Flag for the 10,000 points both times, one where they dropped the Medic Flag by mistake and the other where he had forgotten to drop it before leaving. And the Total Capture of the Alliance Flag by our Second in Command. And our Flag still flying at Games end. This would have had a much better outcome, but with just knowing that it could've happened was Victory enough!:)
And Yes I would be happy to talk to you about the Game, just let me know Where and When./AKA

I had 20-30 guys follow me up the trail. luckily we found a Alliance Sniper in the trail that gave us a direct escort to blue base. most of everyone stayed south and i snuck up the west side. My marker must be pretty rugged, because I had not one single problem with it all day. It's a pretty ****** one too. The Veiwloader Charger. I never jammed or anything.
"A group of us got close"the Aliiance had just taken over the urban feild . I told a group of guys I wanted you go ask AKA and MondoMor if they wanted to play. I had 20-30 guys follow me up the trail. luckily we found a Alliance Sniper in the trail that gave us a direct escort to blue base. most of everyone stayed south and i snuck up the west side. I made it all the way to the last tree of cover. before someone asked me what color I was. I said RED <I'M KRUTSIE> man did that tree get lit up. I got shot, But I enjoyed it fully
:D, I remember this raid well Krutsie, although I did'nt hear you yell I should have guessed it would be you.
Luckily for us we had a bunch of Crusaders up there at the time, that helped you guys find the time to walk back home.:p/AKA
