Took some pictures while we were out there. Didn't get to take many. Spent more time playing. Also forgot that I had a camera on me.

Of course our fearless XO Mondomor had his radio stuck to his ear in both of the middle 2 pictures. He should have glued it there and maybe his arms wouldn't be so tired.

LOL Maybe someone captured one of the times I was listening to one radio, transmitting on the other, with two people in front of me pointing at my maps describing what was going on. :eek: My brain felt about ready to explode. :)

Joker and I with our toys, We wanted to find Crazy dave to join the picture since he was in the middle of us for the last battle at red bridge. when they rushed it was like a turkey shoot.the guys that peaked around the corner ussually got hit by crazy dave. Love that Pump.

that little hill past the tower course is a killer. Maybe you should put a rope up it so we can grab on and pull our selves up.lol.towards the end of the day I would make a b-line for them new benches.loL. pour gramp was having issues with it. but he never complained

Opening that delivery to reveal the bomb for the first time (I was paranoid it was an instant bomb/chem/bio/etc system or who knows what else bad, so I requested AKA stay away in case of bad things to avoid the general-elimination penalties), that was one of the highlights of the day for me. Not because I did anything, but rather the immediate realization of "wow, a lot went into this, and it looks really good."

I was trying to post a link for you, but apparently my computer hates Wild bunch or something. I got on their site last night, but now it won't load their webpagequestion:)
Anyway, go to their website, then forum, hunt for the cure sub-forum, and there should be a pictures thread. I think I saw a few pictures of the bomb in there, not positive because I never saw the bomb during the game, but i'm pretty sure that's it.

Nice detonation photo in there as well.
The Mercs device failed to go off.
Upon later inspection, I found a pinhole leak in the air system which allowed all of our air to leak out after 8 hours....
I was thoroughly bummed out about that....
lol me and a few of the other aces saw the timer at on the bomb and got as far away as we could, but then we thought to ourselves, "how far do you have to run away from a nuke?" we had no idea it was a chemical weapon lol.in the end putting distance between us and the bomb didnt help, but it was still hilarious.
Great pics. by the way, I need to see more. Its the only way I can see what was going on up there.:D Thanks for the Pic. Krutsie, its one of those poses that could've been, you caught me picking my nose.:eek:
Ya Brutis it was a very interesting box in my bunker. Nothing like having to read my mission sheets on top of a bomb we were having a heck of a time stopping.:mad:
Ours went off without a hitch, so you should still be proud the Coalition had been infected.:D Nice Work!/AKA

Yeah, I saw you a few times throughout the day but for the most part I was over @ yellow bridge. There wasn't much time to chit-chat, especially during that final battle :)
That final battle I was back and forth, back and forth.
I shot 2 hoppers and 5 pods of paint, didn't leave the field until the horn blew.
I distinctly remember shooting my last pod at a charge at yellow, and I couldn't do any more good there. So I made my way back to blue bridge to do some pin-runs. I'm standing there waiting for our next rush when Thalion asks "We need some help at yellow bridge if you can go" I tell him I am out of paint, to which he responds "not any more" and loads up my hopper.
I sent another charge of mercs back to base with it, then they overwhelmed us and I was thoroughly tapped out of paint and air. luckily the horn blew just about right after that.

Joker and I were down to our hoppers with 20 minutes to go . Thallion came by and filled our pods. (at liest 2 or 3 Pods) thankyou so much Thalion. I sure felt sorry for the guy carrying the Chinese Flag. we mowed him down like cutting cheese at liest two Times. I remember earlier in the last hour . we were doing charges every 5 minutes. i made the march back and just walked up to two guys staning in the wide open. I walk in between them and struck up convo. I said. so we got two snipers on the left side pegging everybody.....Splatt ...right when i said that I got a striaght shot to the goggles. i said,,, Yup,, Thats him. I'll be back. LOL , My head gared back when it hit. (Side Note) My daughter got ahold of that clicker. good Idead AKA. hte ya for it now. LOL

Well, I had come that day originally intent on using a semi and throwing a lot of paint. Then I sort of last minute realized that's not me -- I can play with a semi, but I hate wasting paint.
So I ran with a pump gun.
During the final battle, I saw paint was running low on all fronts. It happens. I know empty hoppers = most players leaving the field. Not saying anyone here would have, but you all know what I mean. In an effort to boost morale and keep everyone in the field, I ran out to the staging area and returned with another 1200 paintballs (give or take a hundred, kind of hard to count them in that big container)
I gave them all out between the fronts because honestly, if everyone runs out of paint, nobody can stop the Merc suicide charges. Seeing how close it came, I'm glad I did.
Best of all, I still have a bag of paint left for the rest of the month beret:) so I can still come out and play a few days.

I have never been in a game so even. In my opinion we were all winners. look at the bright side. AKA has got to come back and defend his title, hehehehe

Speaking of which...
... is it just me, or is Drew the only person to be a winning general more than once in Hunt history?
It does seem that fate tends to honor the newcomer (to the Hunt) general.
Consider:
Foster (1st time general) vs Drew - Foster won
Foster vs GW (1st time general) - GW won
GW vs AKA (1st time general) - AKA won

Almost certainly just coincidence, but something I noticed that I found amusing.
Well I don't know Thalion, it just might be Fate's way of having to keep Darrin from padding the inside of the New Tower, to keep old 3 timer HFTC Generals.:rolleyes:/AKA

That red bridge standoff was amazing, Dave was sitting holed up plinking them for I dunno how long.
Off the break there was a bunch of us that charged full tilt to try and bust through that thing. I was in the lead of the charge and I saw that they had the same idea and it was curtains, no getting through so I hit the deck and wiped out the first Merc of the final battle, gogged. I regret stopping and I shoulda taken the hits for the rest...but you guys held it down long enough for us to really reinforce blue and man that got it handed to'em over there. Nate was over there so he might know, but I saw 5 or 6 suicide waves come across that thing myself.
Kelly (Slumlord) found a tree in an advanced position to the south of blue bridge and we switched off on that thing and in the last 15 minutes probably had 50 kills between the two of us at least, it was almost unfair.

Are you kidding? Because those things were REALLY annoying to me (maybe just because I didn't get one:rolleyes:)
:) The Clicker idea came to me while reading and wondering about what to do with our communicating on the feild. Although I had thought that the Units would have been more spread out throughout the playing feild, such as Enemy territory, where it would've been hard to indentify each other if one Unit came from the North and another up from the South they would simply "Click" and if they got an answer back they were friendly, if not open Fire.sniper:)
The Clicker was used in WWII for this very Reason, When Paratroopers landed in and around the Germans they would "Click" their Clicker to locate each other. It worked for a while until the Germans picked them from the Dead. Then Coded Click's were used, One would "Click" but the other had better know the responce "Click".:eek:
I wrote the Clicker Company and told them my Idea, when they heard that I was going to introduce the Clicker into Scenario Paintball they were thrilled of course and asked how many I would like, Well I needed enough for both sides even though the Merc's would get theirs after the Game;)
And asked for 500. They were at my house in 4 days. So thanks to the Clicker Company for helping out with the noise I wanted to bring to the HFTC'09 and remaining a "Silent" Sponsor for this Charity Event.:)
The Clicker would've probably been better to introduce into Paintball in the GBG, I will bring the extra there so JJohnson can get yours then.;)

Yeah I figured that was where the inspiration came from; I love WWII history so....yeah...don't know where I was going with that.
Anyway, I'll definately have to pick one up if I make it to the GBG. I know a teamate of mine will be thrilled if I get one;)

I missed the part where everyone was told we were using the clickers, people kept clicking at me and i was like wtf? im coalition who are you?
