4/19/09 $5 Big Game

I just wanted to say thank you to Darrin for running such a nice event. The turnout was great (despite the weather) and after the first few games Splat Tag got things clipping along at a fast pace and got a lot of good games in.

Hart's Paintball brought up 11 people, 6 of which had never been to Splat Tag before and we all had a blast. They're still talking about how great it was. Thanks again Darrin! We will be coming up again sometime. It's worth the almost 2 hour drive from Rochester, MN.

Thanks for coming up! Next time I will work on better weather for you. At least we had a great turn out, around 140 players.

We played 16 games on 6 different courses.

Haha the weather isn't a big deal for us =P And glad you saw us up there Cpt. Patches (yes in our white minivan and trailer). I don't quite remember playing against you but your picture doesn't help me out a lot. Glad you recognized me and the rest of the team though, we're a pretty new unit. Good to be noticed.

very nice to see you guys up here. I was wearing a black sweat shirt and my camo pants and green mask. i wasnt ready to play so i just threw some stuff on lol.

Still not ringing a bell really (though there were over 100 people there! and we played so many games). Come over and chat next time, if you get a spare minute. We'll be up there for the Hunt For the Cure next. I'll be the one with a teeth cutout on his helmet.

And yeah, really BDU's are the best and cheapest camo you can get these days (Hoorah for E-bay). Gander Mountain/Cabellas rips you off. Charging around $40 for camo that rips if you get into some thorn bushes.

Yeah we will definitely introduce ourselves for the Hunt. and i was standing right next to you a couple times if you are the guy with the teeth hahaha.

We are currently looking for a team uniform. i will have to check ebay! we were also thinking about BDU's of some sort.

Yeah for sure E-bay is the best way to go. And yup I was the one with the teeth. I decided to do it to make it easier for my team to recognize me (as a "Captain") since a lot of us look so similiar (3-4 of us have BDU's, same helmets, same vests, all have Ion's). Weird you were standing next to me, I'm kind of spacey sometimes, just say hi next time!

Co-Captain really. But usually on the field I get them moving where they should be. Yeah 6 days! pumped for it, we're on the Coalition side. Though only 2-4 players will be able to make this one, but we'll be there. And yeah I've gotten a lot of compliments on the teeth. Gives guys something to point me out as... "did you see that guy with the teeth? He gogged me!" lol.
