I just had a thought, oh no .Look out. LOL Design and Make a small patch that forum members can sew on their tach vests, jersey's and so on. So when I'm out fighting and I see a guy with a forum patch on his shoulder It prompts me to ask what his online call sign is.and introduce myself,
I know I get people that come up to me and introduce them self just because they recognize my Ugly mug from my SIG(please refrain from comments)LOL.
Just an Idea to help fellow forum users find fellow forum users.

We wouldn't need the names on there. it was just and idea. My squad would wear them(we have about 3 or 4 active in the forum)
Maybe turn Badgers logo with out the year into a patch.

Honestly, I don't see this as an idea that will gain much ground.
As much as some of us like patches, most of us also want them to be for something (such as an event patch, which is a way to always remember the fun of that day, or a team insignia or a sponsor's logo).
I'm not saying you're wrong, I just don't think it's got a lot of a chance to take off.

I designed the patch for the Tiberius Arms Owners group, and from what I've heard, that site is already defunct. Not saying that it will happen to this site, just that it's a lot of work and expense to do for something that didn't have much time online.

I checked in on them recently. They're still up, sort of. The forums work, but it's not the most active place on the globe.
Then again, I suspect there may be other reasons at work behind the status T8OG (or is Tiberius Arms Owners different from T8OG?)
It may be a way to promote the forum.
I find every few local scenario players that do not use the forum. Almost every one that I talk to (regular woodsball players) use the forum.
So I do not know if we need to promote. I do like the fact the some members may be proud enough or a least like the site enough to want to show support on their uniform or gear bags.
Maybe a MSPB patch for who ever want one. Just the letters.
Web site that specialize can do better then others that are very broad if someone is willing to commit time and money. ;)
MinnesotaPig.com is almost 10 years old and is still the best place to get up-to-date speedball info.
In the short year and a half of this forum it has taken off as the place for Minnesota players to get their up-to-date information. I myself use to have to log on to 12 or more web site to get the information I can now find here. I for one hope it doesn't go away unless it is replace by something better. ;)

I think that a sticker would be cooler. Easier for us who wear jerseys, plus everyone loves stickers!

stickers peel and honestly the only place to really put stickers is your hopper and they get dirty and wear off and need to be bought more than once. Plus im putting sponsors on my hopper.

On the jerseys? Patches can be sowed on their too. But w/e, not every one will be happy if we go with just one, a small run of both would be the easiest way i guess.

Same, my proto sticker is the only one that deteriorated.
I don't know if I'm right, but I think what Krutsie is more or less saying is a way to meet the Players who we talk to here every day. Why just at the Arctic-Blast I had been playing alongside SirHart all day who I had wanted to meet one day, and did'nt even know it until a PM conversation we had. It is hard to meet people we've known for years through the Forums unless we happen to catch a name on thier person, but not all players Sport this Identity help. Heck I met MondoMor finally after talking to him for two years at the MnRat Forum, When he noticed my Name on my Hat, and became good friends.;)
I think about this all the time, trying to meet people from here in person at the Games, but we all get busy getting ready and sometimes don't take the time to introduce ourselves to everyone.tongue:)
I like the Idea and would like to see something done about this, I would'nt care if it were a meet and greet session at lunch time. Patches, Buttons, Stickers, Special Hair cuts, it makes me no differance. We could Promote the Site too I guess.:D/AKA

Ive had a million stickers falls off, i take a lot of hopper shots, not very many body shots. Im actually pretty proud of that fact too...
Players could put up a sign "Minnesota Scenario Forum members come say hi" or something like that.
I may ask memeber to raise their hands at all of my events.
