Hi guys,

I was wondering what you all thought about this field. what you like and could be improved. reason why i'm asking is i will offically be taking over this field mid may ( when their paintball season starts up) and i'd like to know what you guys would like to see from it ( being the only indoor field in rochester).

At the moment i just put out a order for new reballs ( sorry owner od the building won't allow paint) and getting it geared up to be able to fill both air and co2.

Any info would help.

Thanks

I've never played there myself but the biggest complaint I've heard is that it was co2 fill only which I see you are changing.
Maybe put some pics on the web site so people can see what it looks like.

Price is prolly going to be a big concern, and then just however good the ReBalls are. Prolly gonna be the biggest 2 considering that you're getting air.

I'm curious how ReBalls work for accuracy and how hard they are on the equipment...

They'll spoil you with how nice they shoot.

yes, as soon as i can get field time ( mid may) I was going to have kylster do a promo vid for me.

as far as how reballs shoot... I asked ppl from pbnation about soccer world and that was one of the biggest things that they had old reballs (3years old) i brought home a few of the worst ones that i seen that had pits and cracks in them and after shooting 8000 rounds ( with a wgp autococker 12'proggesive barrel & act tippy 98 ops gear flutted 18' barrel) i had no problem with them they shot really well about 1 in 100 went off mark. As far as the pain i shot kurtsie with one about 10 foot away ( 280fps) he said it hurt a little but left no marks....

ITS Krutsie,,GRRR ,LOL
I heard Frank(ISH) say" I wonder if they hurt" then I handed him the Marker. what was I thinking. It did hurt a little but wasn't as bad for being 10ft away.It was funny he didn't let me shoot him afterwards. LOL. I'd like to announce with hard Debate we convinced the new organizer of Soccer World Paintball to Sponsor Woodland Security for year 2009.

I think Frank of all people can make the Soccer World Paintball turn totally around. Just think......Local Winter Play...No 175 for paint and fees for one day. I'm exited for frank and the community.

Do you have any pictures?

Is it airball? Do you have anything scenario or urban??

How many squire feet?

Is it open in the winter??

I am always looking for some place to play in the winter!!

Been trying to open an indoor in the Saint Paul area for some time now. Rent has always been to high, maybe this winter rents will be down enough.

Its mainly a speedball setup. I know there is astro turf(same as whats at the metrodome) Imagine a soccer field size. I'll let Frank(ISH) Fill you in.

ive seen some real problems with reaball though, like ive seen them break tippmann triggers and jam hoppers but im just speaking on what ive heard, no actual experience with them. If you dont already do it, you may want to offer small sponsorships to teams in terms of practicing, let them practice there for cheap for like 3 hours 2 days a week or something, you know you know, just a thought. I know its always nice for teams to be able to practice and it would promote paintball and grow it in the area by making it a little cheaper to practice.

That is a very funny post.
You start off saying "I've seen" then you say "but im just speaking on what ive heard, no actual experience with them"

lol my bad, just my lingo i use i guess. I say 'I seen' if ive heard of it or seen it. Ill have to try and stop or im going to be messing people up.

Actually, some old team mates went up to the old reball place in rice lake and had some problems using tippmann 98's, they didnt use any speedball guns in case it would damage them and one of them said they snapped a 98 trigger in half? idk how it happened but some one broke a 98 trigger assembly some how using reballs.

Ps: Im not going to change my original post so everyone can see my mastery of the English language laughing:)

yes its a 12 man air field

not sure the exact squire footage ( it is a full sized soccer field if that helps)

talking with the building owner right now about that. if he gets the expantion done then yes there will be winter games, if not it depends on how active the paintball side of buisness is to be able to clame time in the winter.

I will get pics up as soon as i can, i have been waiting on the soccer leagues to rap up their season so i can put up the bunkers.

I know the reason we never went there was because of price, we wanted to do a team practice there and the owner was saying that it would cost us a certain amount of money per person to come practice. I would suggest doing a set rate per hour for private team practices on weekend mornings/nights before and after open play. Also weeknight practice would be a great asset.

at the moment I have 4 days avalible that i can use the field. i'm not sure if i will be running all 4 of them (due to work) but they are.

monday nights
friday night
saturday noon-night
sunday all day

as far as the prices go right now ( not sure if i'm going to change them) it is $18/hr per person witch if you think about it isn't that bad. 3hrs is like buying a case of paint.

I checked that place out a while back. The price seems steep at first but like you said a few hours is about the price of a case of paint. My biggest issue with it back then was not being open in the winter. If it was, it would help us stay sharp year round and would be easier to justify the field fees.

If you ask me only offering paintball in the summer is probably why they are hesitant to give us paintball people much thought. We wont play inside when its nice out and we can play in someones woods for free. To the owner it probably seems like no one around here even plays because they never see us. (But then again we do usually wear camo... sorry, bad joke, lol)

As for not using paint indoors that is a good thing. I've played indoors with paint before and it gets really sloppy in a hurry. You end up slipping around on and off the field. The place was slime from door to door. Not cool, lol.

Does this mean we will not be seeing you as often Frank? That would be a bummer...

no, hopfully i'll still be able to get out on sundays. so far no one has asked for a sunday reservation. but my saturdays are filling up fast and they have made me cancel a few of the out of state games i was looking at.
as far as winter games it is looking like i will have at least 2 day a week to run winter games ( as of right now might be able to pull more days if building owner see's it drawing in a big crowd) so i'll be looking at starting up a league more then likly it will be classic style depending on feed back i get...

15bps w/reballs might hurt and if i give refs shields it would be a a pain with watching balls fly and bounce everywhere ( yes i tried it the other day )
tho it was funny..

as far as pics i'll have a vid up soon..... makeing jude take a few the 4'th
