A Day To Remember!
For those that make it out to this event it will be one of
the events that will not be forgotten. We are starting this
event off by giving away 25 cases of paint from Combat
Paintball and CC Military Surplus. There will be camping
and night attacks on the 15th. On the 16th we will kick
off the full blown invasion!

Last year was a big year for us. Did not quite have record breaking numbers for this event how ever it was close. We had traveling teams or feelers for teams from Milwakee, Chicago, Canada, South Dakota and Iowa. There may have been others but these are the ones I know about. Every one of these Groups had a blast and plan to bring more or the rest of there group this year.

yea, definately one of the greatest games in the area. I just have fun relaxing off the field with all the cool people then getting into some of the most intense fire fights on it! A game none should miss.

It was hilarious last year, the Germans had a LAW and the Americans (my team) didn't. So one guy just picked up a piece of pipe from out in the junkyard and carried it around like a LAW. You should have seen the Germans scrambling out of their bunkers and screaming for their teamates to do the samelaughing:)

Awesome, We are looking at having at least two mounted Machine Guns this year and two Tanks!

Do I dare ask where the second gun is going? And how are the tanks going to be used if you don't mind us asking? Or are you just going to suprise us with it.

One will be a german tank in use most of the game. It will have its main firing positions that it moves between as well as a few other missions. The American tank will only be used once enough of the beach is secure and able to get a tank on shore. From there it has limited use till a path up the ridge is secure! Other than that every thing else will be a suprise....

The new improved mounted gun systems are awesome! Got to see the new version out at halo! Was not really used but got to see it in action later. This will be an awesome addition to have a few of these this year on the german side! The mounted Machine Gunner can be take out by Rocket or direct hit. The Gun system Is down how ever for 15 min if taken out by a rocket. Tanks can only be taken out by Rockets.

Players with a rocket launcher are attached to there launcher. It can only be handed off if they are alive. Other wise must go back to respon. Each Rocket Launcher has two rockets before the Launcher must be taken back to Respon in order to get two rockets again.

i doubt its what your thinking of, we came up with this idea just recently. Brent saw the schematics though so he knows. Lol, the problem with building it at his house was he is bound to see the finished product before Omaha Beach.

If I remember correctly it's between $40-45 a case.

And you can bring your own paint to this event as well, it is included in the entry cost.

Did you make the flyer or have someone else do it Jared? Because I could have made that for you.

There is also usually field paint that we carry that is a mid grade ($55ish) all the way up to top of the line paint ($65 - $70 ish)

dribble:) Omaha Beach!!!! this big game is by far one of the best out there i have been paint-balling for about 6 years now and i have been to a few different fields/ events at fields and this is one for the best fields and is the funniest event in the area!! not only is it fun to pay on one of the only junk yard field there is around, and its not just a little pile of junk there are buses/ trucks/ card/ piles and piles of junk to pay around, but not only is that fun , put just the people there are rely cool and fun to play with i think i have made new friends there avry year i have gone and we play paintball together still to day! if you guys have not been out to the Omaha Beach game you are missing out on a little bit of something i call LIFE! i stand be hind these guys 110% for putting this game on, its amazing!!!,

and you know what evin if you cant make it out to this game there are always going to be more games out there! and i have been to just about all of them and they are all rely rely well put together and fun to play!, and they have open play avry sunday just come out and play i i bater see you out there

This is one of my favorite events at combat. The amount of players is awesome and it's always a good time. The Refs do a really good job. The night game is crazy. Paint flying everywhere in the dark. I think the americans have more fun trying to take the ridge. I remember trying to figure out where I could hide before the flares and fireworks go off. Quite an adrenaline rush. Anyone who can make it should really give it a shot. It's a lot of fun :)

I am trying to find out all the teams that will be out at this event and what side they want to be on. this way I can have a lage amount of the players side predetermained so that breaking up the teams will go easier that weekend.

My son and I are so excited for this event. We didn't make it last year but will for sure be out this year. I've heard about it for over a year and seems to be the big event to go to. My son brought some friends to Military games and is planning on bringing some of his friends to Omaha Beach as well My favorite is the junkyard and my son would agree I'm sure. We always have a good time whatever course we play on at the field. Since my son is getting into paintballing more...he will be counting the days until the event!!! :DThe new tank will be a added plus to the field and event.

right now we have two running tanks that are on schedual to be there. one on the American side that will be a go and in use once enough of the beach is cleared out. Then able to move the ridgeline once the trail is cleared and secured.

Germans will have one the whole time. this one will be awesome if it is compleated 100 percent on time. eather way it will be way effective. With a double FA2 and a cannon on the turret that launches Rockets.

Other tanks are welcome as long as they have aproval

German tank is not able to go on to the beach from the ridge. how every can go every were else drivable by the german tank past the ridge.

What is meant by a direct hit? Will there be a pie plate for a target for regular paintballs? How long is the machine gun down if a direct hit is scored (it looks like 15 minutes for a rocket, but does not mention a direct hit)?

Direct hit would be a hit on the gunner. He would just be eliminated and have to go respon just as if he were a regular player. The gun can be filled with another player at any time. Americans can also use these when taken by the Americans.

Mounted Machine guns will have a ref with them. The ref will also have paint. It will be the only paint that can be used in them. It will cost $10 for a bag of 500 or $40 for a case to be put in the Machine guns. We have decided to do this because of players putting in ****** paint or paint not ment for that type of gun system and gumming up the guns or jamming them with paint that got wet and has expanded and such. Paint will be able to be purchased from the ref at the Machin gun stations. he will then load the paint for you. If you get shot before you shoot your paint it just goes to the next player that gets on the gun.

We have Fredric Paintball on the American side. This is all that is official. Other teams that are comming just have not expressed to me there final decision on what team they want to be on.

Dog Soldiers from South of Chicago are looking like they want to come up again this year as well! A team from MI is considering comming out also!

Helped work on the field today to get ready for Omaha Beach. Pulled a bunch of burning nettle and thistles out from in the junkyard, and moved some things around in the junkyard to give the Americans more cover.:)

Things are going awesome so far! Some of us were out working on getting the fields ready and cleaning them up to help make it the best experience possible for all the players comming out. We cleaned up a lot of the burning nettle and thistles and such on the field. Will be doing more work threw out the next few weeks. We worked on cleaning up a lot of the junkyard moving a lot of the (trip) junk and making some of the junk piles into more of junk bunkers. We Cut some better cleaner trails in the woods parts of the courses for thoes who like trails. We will also be doing a lot more of this over the next couple of weeks as well. Also looking at a couple of building ideas and are hopping to have a couple more of them to add to the field! Will be a busy crazy couple of weeks!

Nothing better then watching every one come out and have a blast and looking like they are ready to go home and sleep for a week when they are done! beret:)

Built two buildings today. Worked on Two Bunkers and finished them wow they look awesome. Working on some more tomorrow as well as the tank and fortified Double gun mounted positions. Oh and a nother building.

Whew what a long.............................................. .......................................Day. Wow we did a lot on the field. As far as bunkers and such we got basicly every thing done on that side of things. There is a few touch up and cosmetic things left but it is play ready. We filled a **** load more sandbags. Bilt the third new building for this event. Touched up a few other bunkers that we worked on yesterday. Got the last of the fireworks...Well maybe... Putting in another long day tomorrow!

My car had a real hard time getting into splat tag, and that was prior to the kit being put back on, especially IN the parking areas where the land is so bumpy. Usually I would borrow my parent's Expedition or Ram, but that is out of the question unfortunately.

If it is anything like splat tag, I wont be able to make it.

The drive down is paved the whole way, the only part thats not is right at the end where you park, but we can most likely find you a spot that any car could easily make it. As far as terrain goes you should not have any concerns.

Great job to everyone! We all had a great time playing. But did anyone take pics of people playing? We are looking for some we forgot the camera.

And who and what kind of paint was that was breaking with a minty smell sorta a like blue fill? I got nail by it on the south fence line by someone hiding in the woods. Durning the first game.

One Heck of a good game. The Americans Won both the first and second half and both times they won by close to the same amount of points. The Germans dominated the first hour and 20 min of both games and started going down hill for the germans from there. Will be posting more detailed point results of the game soon.

The Weather was nice till about 11 pm saturday night and you could not ask for better weather on Sunday for paintball. Sucked for thoes who camped and planned on being out by the camp fire Saturday night other than that was great!

Thanks for all thoes who played hard! Played fair! And thoes that did a great job cleaning up after them selves when they left.

Wish I could have played a bit more!!!

I found out my self that I need some more practice on the Rocket Launcher!! lol Not to bad if I take time aim and shoot but Have not practiced snap shooting with it....LOL I missed a lot of shots I should have hit!!!

This my first time at combat, and I will be back for sure. Great game, great field set up, great refs and great players. That's alot of great for one post lol but one last one.
I had a great time, got to play my first night game and loved playing under the fire works made for a great atmosphere while playing.

Nice vid, was that the first or the second game? I couldn't really tell, but if it was the second I may have been one of those guys at the truck, on your right side, don't really know tho, I kinda gave up on that side, since the rest of the team was on the other side.
Oh and nice epic tank run, most guys dream of the opportunity (or the balls) to do something like that!
And I love the kid yelling "I got the the tank! I got the turret!" I imagine the guy in the tank was yelling "read the rules! Read the rules!"

That was the 2nd game. The guys at the truck were at the very beginning of the game. Just included that to show a few people plus it was a decent overview of the junkyard.

Yes the tank was fun. I'm the guy with the 'cocker on the left side of the tree. My buddy Laflash has the camera. We actually were standing there for quite a while because the tank was sitting up at the top of that trail for a few minutes. Eventually the kid with the RPG layed down behind the log a few feet to my left. We just wanted to draw the tank in so the RPG kid could get an easy shot. He missed the first one but it was a pretty far shot. The tank closed in quite a bit while he was reloading and then stopped like 15 feet away. For some reason there was nobody up in the turret for a moment there, but when the other guy made the strafing run and got pegged they were back up there help:) I got shot out a couple seconds later, then the 2nd nerf rocket connected a few seconds after that. Was exciting and fun! :scared0012:

I was reloading when you couldn't see me, Jersey was yelling out your possition, I jumped back up as soon as I reloaded and just opened up on anything that was moving, but couldn't get a bead on the guy with the RPG then that was all she wrote cuz the second shot made contact and we were done. I took out a crappies load of guys on that tank run, unloaded about 1000 balls on you guy was a blast.

ya the tank was fun.tank3:) The first time it came out i was up in the tower and sniped itsniper:)!! but the 2nd time i missed both shots i took:scared0012: so i got my rockets back 2 try again i just hid behind a log my first shot missed but my 2nd 1 smoked it:D
