I have in the past had a parents kids only game where everyone uses the same equipment (kind of a walk on game but limited to parents and kids). Kind of an Introduction to Paintball type thing. And I have kept if fairly small for reason.
This was done to help young players and parents of those young players that have never played before to get out in a group where its a pretty controlled environment (for the record I brought my 3 daughters last year for their first game and 2 of them fell in love with the game, go figure it was my 13yr old and my 10yr old). And not dominated by more seasoned players. Yes there are a few restrictions on age.
I was wondering if there would be any interest in trying to make this an actual event at SplatTag (I have already Talked to Darrin about it).
Hey that's Great LT, I totally agree and stand behind this type of introductory into Paintball for Parents and Kids. Please, I don't mean to go off on a personal comparrison to myself, but I have a point to which shows this kind of thing can work and it is good for the Families who try it.;)
My Club is based off and was started by this very thing. Four Parents and then thier kids, and when more kids came so did some Parents. I still have Parents and Kids who play together in the Club. My Daughter and I for Ten years now for one. There are not to many Sports out there, where Parents can play along side thier kids and take home the same stories of the days excitement. Daughters, Sons it makes no differance in Paintball. Mothers, Fathers again, does'nt matter. With the right leaders helping this to happen, can mean better relations between Parents and their future Paintballers. So I say Good for you and Heck ya! it should be a regular Event!;)/AKA

I'd like to bring my dad to play at something like that. He has played before, but for the last ten years. I've been trying to get him to play with me, but he thinks he's too old (he's 46, I told him the oldest guy at OK DDay was like 82). He's also worried that he'll hurt himself and not be able to work (he's self employed).
Sorry jjohnson
but this is for little kids. For parents to bring out their kids to try paintball in a very controlled form.
Bring your dad out to our Fathers Day game June 14.

Oh ok. I should let my uncle and cousins know, they've played a few times before, but they live just a few miles down the road from splat tag.
