The GIANT BIG GAME XVI is looking for a General to lead an army of over 300 players for the Biggest battle of the year.

The General roles are very demanding. Hundreds of players depend on how well you help run your team.

Generals names will be forever placed on the GIANT BIG GAME trophy. Pictured with 2007 Generals Rags and Brutis.

Become part of Splat Tag History and have a great time doing it!

Giant Big Game XVI - Saturday, June 6, 2009 www.giantgame.com (http://www.giantgame.com/)

http://www.giantgame.com/images/2007june3%20030.jpg

The year is now 2023 - six years have passed since Minnesota and Wisconsin border skirmishes escalated into all out war between the two states to protect their natural resources and production facilities which they utilize to trade with other parts of the disbanded United States of America for resources they cannot secure on their own.

Many large and potentially decisive battles have been fought over the past six years. However, neither state can hold onto the enemy territory for long due to supply lines being cut from reserve military forces in both states. These battles of attrition take their tolls the most during the winter months when supplies are in dire need to keep troops warm and fed during unnaturally cold weather due to the post-nuclear strike environment.

Each spring and summer sees renewed activity from both sides of the conflict as the warmer weather lends itself to extended military operations. With that being said, extensive resources have been exhausted over the years due to this conflict.

Neighboring states to the south (Iowa and Missouri) and to the west of stalwart Minnesota (North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas and Montana) have sent troops and resources to aid The Midwest Alliance in the upcoming battles due to the limited trading agreements in place prior to all out war breaking out over the boarder conflicts.

The staunch defenders of Wisconsin have called in assistance from what is left of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. These states fight under the banner of The Big Lakes Crusaders (BLC for short). The faster response times due to proximity of these states bodes well for Wisconsin, as they can call in additional support troops much quicker than Minnesota.

The Southern states are involved in conflicts of their own and have yet to throw in with either side of this Northern East/West war beyond roving mercenary/rogue military groups heading north that will fight on the side of the highest bidder for food, shelter and of course fuel/ammo. These roving mercenary/rogue military groups are becoming much more valuable as combat age populations are not being replaced at the rates they are being eliminated due to radiation sickness and conflict.

The question begs to be asked – can either The Midwest Alliance or The Big Lakes Crusaders strike such a decisive victory that they can take over an entire state and hold it? With forces bolstered on each side with fresh troops and renewed supplies, our epic story of survival and post-apocalyptic conflict continues to unfold.

Now the time has arrived to pick a side and grab your trusty paintball gun so you can march off to battle with your fellow soldiers. In the trenches, and through the woods you will watch each other’s backs and defend your positions whatever the cost may be. For failure to do so is not an option…Victory awaits the bold and the daring. TO BATTLE!

I spoke with Badger a few weeks ago and he told me that this is going to be a very busy year for him and he would like to see some new blood give it a try so he can sit back and just play this one.

Or something close to that.

LMAO!
Well...
First off where the heck did you find that picture?!

Man as cool as it would be to take charge... I think there are better people than myself to take the responsibility. Plus I think that my skill set is more useful on the field playing than be on the sidelines and making calls. Thanks for putting me on the spot, but I will sit that one out for a more qualified paintball player.

Thats a shame.... Badger did a great job last year
Lol one of the Wild Bunch members should always be a general they don't need all those guys out on the field at once ;)

I know AKA is taking charge of the Hunt Game but I cast my vote for him to be a General for this event. He seems fully capable of such a task.

LOL and for grins I'm going to throw out a random Wild Bunch member cuz I was sorta serious when I said that up there. LOL So lets go with Spock? That sound good? The less of them to run in when I'm being the terminator the better!tongue:)

I agree Brutis... while being a CO for this game is a rewarding experience win or loose, it's also nerve wracking... I didn't sleep for a couple days before the game last year...lol.

I'd be willing to part with some of the lessons I learned personally to the commander of whichever team we end up playing for, if they are interested in hearing them.

AKA (Tim)

Two games back to back maybe to much for someone. I hope you are thinking this through, Tim.

If you want it I would love to have you do it. If you want to wait until after the Hunt game I would understand.

Call me when you get time.

Thats cool man, I wouldn't suggest you if I thought I could do a better job. I'm a Grunt the field is where I belong. Tim if everything works out at the Hunt and you like how my guys play for you that day you can have Dibbs on us for the Giant Game... Well pending on what D has to say in the end:rolleyes:

Hey D,
IDK if they would be willing to do this but I think extremely highly of Drew and Lance of Warfare. They are stand up guys, either of them would be a good choice. They helped us out so much when we first started out at Splat. They deserve some props!

I have received a few emails and phone calls about being Generals for GBG, so I think we are covered.

Midwest Alliance General we have had for over a week.
Great Lake Crusaders General should be confirmed by the end of the day.

I also think we may have the 2010 GBG Generals.

Names will be announced in a few days!

Both are upstanding players and I am very proud to have them step up to take on this role!

General for the Midwest Alliance is Thalion (Tim).
Tim is the captain of the Sentinels paintball team.

General for the Great Lake Crusaders is AKA (Tim).
Tim runs the Pelican Brigade Paintball Club.

For both players this will be the first time being a General and both are very upstanding players.
