Be allowed at Splatt Tag? or do we have to stick with nerf rockets?

Yes, they are allowed.

They're not the best IMO because they can be a pain to load correctly, but they're field legal. I have some, but prefer the nerfs.

If you use the JCS i would suggest coating them with baby powder and they will shoot farther and be alot easyer to load.

Also you can put a paintball on the tip which makes it easyer for refs to call hits.

they fly alot straighter and better because they are designed for paintball.

i havent used the jcs rockets yet, only nerf. and i always find my nerfs at SHOPKO instead of buying them on line. i dont know why shopko has them but they always have about four and i buy them all.

a lot of fields dont let you coat projectiles since people did it with paintballs and it would get stuff into your skin. Idk, i would stay away from coating anything.

Just dont make your projectiles out of wood and get all rockets banned...

Yeah, like what happened at OK DDay.

Yeah, like what happened at OK DDay.

Actually as I understand it, the wooden rocket did not occur at D-Day, but at another field who has the same insurance company as D-Day. To prevent it, the insurance company required the ban across the board on all the fields they cover as part of the "safety requirements."

I could be wrong though.

Oh, I could be wrong too, but I thought that's what I heard on the DDay forum when some people were asking why they couldn't bring nerf rockets.

Perhaps Mustangman can shed some light on this?

Now I'm confused.

Rockets arn't that fun in a game anyway. It creates so much controversy. Were you behind that bunker all the way, or if your 10 feet behind the face of the bunker are you out, and so on. Also the fact that the refs have to be paying attention to the rocket constantly because the people don't even know they are out. I think they are just a pain.

It's the only way to make a mechanism for eliminating tanks work.

Most of the time rockets are used against tanks. Second-most common (but it's not that common) usage is against big obvious structures which there are usually always refs around who will see it.

Few, if any, rockets are fired out in the middle of nowhere because most of us don't feel like throwing those rockets away when they cost that much -- if it's in a big area we can hopefully find them.

I guess for tanks that makes sense. I think it would be cool if we could halo punch a tank out, or even sticky nad it.... mmmm I should make some sticky paintball nads..

This is why I find The Hunt for the Cure to be the best time to use launchers. They don't have to be "purchased" and the refs are plentiful and they know the rules.
